I'll show my age on this one, but "back in the day" Etienne Aigner was considered "the" handbag brand to own. I bought one in 1978 with money I made waitressing. From there I moved up to buying my first Gucci around 1982; my local Bloomingdale's then had a small Gucci boutique in it. After that I bought 2 Gucci bags at the 5th Ave. store in NYC ... and I still love designer bags to this day. Each one is special ;-).

Coach's Sabrina in the black Madison leather. Practical and can be worn with everything I own.

Opened Pandora's box though. I was looking up information on the bag and came acros TPF, which schooled me in more brands and showed me more beauties I just have to own.

MK. Hamilton tote when I was 20. I remember buying it and all my friends not believing that I spent so much on a bag! I feel lucky to have been so young and had such a nice handbag, brought with my own money as well! Next stop Louis Vuitton!

Well. My first expensive handbag I bought when I started working was a black hobo from Banana Republic. It's costs all of 320$ and I loved it. My soon to be husband (he didn't know that at the time) thought I was crazy...yet he still married me ;). After a year or two he took me to Holt Renfrew an I got to pick out my first LV! I nearly died at the price tag but he didn't bat an eyelash! Now when we go shopping he actually helps me choose and really knows my style and the price, he says, is just my paycheck for sticking around :). *truelove*

I used to be into Trendy crap purses, so I didn't get my first coach until I was around 26. It was a Brooke hobo & had great leather. I sold it on eBay but still miss it.
Then I moved to Alex wang at 28 and have gathered much more speed since then - unfortunately for my paycheck, which is not keeping up with the big jumps lol.

My First Designer Handbag was when I was 21 years old. My Father bought it as a birthday present. It was also the first time I ever went to an outlet mall! :heart:

It was the Coach Poppy Storypatch Glam in Gold. Still Looks Brand New!

My first comtemporary handbag was a Coach hobo way back when....my first designer handbag was the LV Tivoli pm....loved and still do love the feminie shape, but I got over monogram pretty quick.
