Mine would be the family tiara, it's been passed down from mother to daughter for more than 300 years, I wore it at my wedding, so did my mom and my grandma and so on.. It's one of the very few pieces that they never sold even when they needed money so it is very precious to me

Wow! Would love to see the tiara. What are the materials / gemstones in it?

Mine is an emerald and diamond ring that I got at a beachfront jeweler's in Delaware. It's become my default wedding ring now, I don't know how it happened. It's just very comfortable to wear, and I like the deep color of the emeralds. It makes an interesting change from diamonds.

For fake stuff, I am loving a pearl bangle from Etsy. It's very simple and allows the pearls to speak for themselves.

Sounds lovely. Do you have photos?

I've really been giving this some thought which is why I haven't posted yet!

Of course I love my wedding set but if I could only have one piece, it would be my green diamond eternity ring. DH always said I could have an eternity ring after we had our first baby so long as it was green (my favourite colour). We worked with the jeweller who custom made our wedding rings. We assumed we were going with emeralds but after hearing about their softness we had concerns. My jeweller suggested green diamonds and I was literally floored by their colour. IRL they have an olive green hue. Just beautiful. All of my jewellery has milgrain detail - I just love the vintage look.

This ring was given to me exactly 6 months after my son was born.
