Mine is probably my tulip ring. My favorite flowers are tulips. DH was at a destination wedding I wasn't able to attend. I told him to pick me up a souvenir expecting something like a mug, but instead when he was getting coffee, he saw a jeweler across the street who was the official jeweler for the area's annual tulip festival and selected a ring for me. It's an amazing piece I love on its own, but means even more because of his thoughtfulness.

I LOVE this question! And I so enjoy seeing/hearing about others' most cherished pieces!

Mine is a special bracelet that belonged to my grandmother, whom I never got to meet. I was told it was her engagement gift from my grandfather in the 1930's when they lived in East Prussia. It made the journey from there to America when they immigrated in the 1950's. It is 14k yellow gold and made up of little plates that are hand engraved with a floral design. My parents gave it to me as my college graduation present. It definitely isn't the most expensive item in my jewelry box, but it would be impossible to replace. I like that it's a little bit of family history for me. :-)

What a wonderful story and I love the detail of the engravings.
