I think it's a very special piece. I was considering this vs the full pave but chose full pave in the end because the pink sapphires kind of disappeared or blended in with my skin too much. If it didn't do that I would've chosen pink since I already own the full pave frivole btf ring.

I love my lotus, and have been thinking about getting a butterfly BTF for a long time. Not sure which one to get though: all diamond or the yellow sapphire...

All diamond. The butterfly design is very whimsical and I often wonder about the longevity of this piece as I age (I'm in my early 40s)... when I had all the colour options in front of me I instantly knew full diamond was the way to go.

I think it's quintessentially VCA. I went for the pink sapphire version. I had a lot of fun trying them all on, took me months to decide and multiple visits to try them all on. It's the only ring with colour options so it was either pink or yellow for me, more whimsical I think. Also for the all diamond version I can choose Frivole or Socrates next. Here are some pics, hope it helps!

When I tried it on (please excuse my dry hands), the pink sapphire version just blended in with my skin. The icy white double pave butterflies jumped out more on my skin tone and looked as if they were floating above my fingers (sorry this picture really isn't a very good one to illustrate my point). Anyway, my point is the butterfly btf ring is special, and very VCA. The key is which version suits your skin tone the most. I envy you Natalie J, because on you the pink and pave version just pops!
