my bf tells me that when I say how much I paid for a bag so I just always divide it into half.. but his family on the other hand, would want to know, so I have no problem telling them how much it is.. or else, they might be thinking I am buying fake bags.......

I like to say "it was a gift." Ha, then pretend I have no idea how much. Also, maybe you can tell you're boyfriend to say he doesn't know when he's asked. Its so rude to speak in another language! I'm from a duel-language house and we've never spoken another language in front of my sister or mine's boyfriend. Ugh.
Oh and I had a similar experience when I was out to eat awhile ago - this girl we were eatting with went on and on about what a waste of money Tiffany jewerly was - which is where my boyfriend buys my jewerly! He said something, and I replied "oh I love it" and she shut up. It was really annoying because she's kindof a spoiled girl herself and I was wearing Tiffany jewerly.

I am so sorry! Yea, I can't even take my LVs when I am with my family. They would crucify me. Screw her and her opinions. How rude of her to talk about you especially in another language you can't understand!

Lol I get that a lot mostly from my friends' family when I go to her parties. They always look at my bags and talk in their language about them and it's funny.
OMG I know what you meant. My ex-bf's family HATES LV and he does too and one day he went w/ me to get my Perle Read PM. When we got back, they were all arguing about it in like another language and I'm like omg... Then they had relatives come over, and his mommy was like, guess how much she spent on her bag? BLAH BLAH it made me so mad...
I'm sorry you had to go through with this fiasco. There's nothing ruder than talking about you in a foreign language while you're present. I hate it when people do it to me.
I totally understand how she feels. I understand why people pop the question "you spend how much" because I am like that too. But I only ask if I see they have a really nice bag and just want to know if I can afford to get one and how long I have to save money for. When I see a real LV but not my cup of tea, I will still compliment them. Afterall, the bag owner has the heart to buy authentic; it's the heart that count and they deserve to be praised.
By the way, my mom doesn't like LV but she should never say anything. She would just through me this look " bad bad". I tell her all my bags are fake.

I hate that because I'm young (21) - I work full time, I've paid for all my own bags!! because of my age people just guess that the bags are fake, when they're NOT. :suspiciou
it's only because THEY can't tell the diffrence between real and fake because they've never felt the leather on a real bag. But it did put me off for a while. but as a true bag-lady I'm back!!! and I'm loving it! I've stopped caring what people think, I know they're real, every time I pick one up I think of how lucky I am to have the REAL thing and not some $10 fake bag!
