Yellow gold love bracelet has pink tarnishes

Hi I have a yg love bracelet that’s about 1 year old. I recently realized that the edge that’s facing the ground has pink tarnishes all over. It cleaned up very easily with a silver polish cloth, but should 18k gold tarnish like this? I’ve never taken it off since I bought it and I sometimes (very rarely) wears it to the jacuzzi.
Should I be concerned?

18k gold should not tarnish. Maybe it was just dirty. Do you clean it regularly?

It's possible for 18k gold to tarnish, albeit very slowly, unlike 24k gold which doesn't tarnish at all. Most likely it came into contact with some chemicals (e.g. chlorine, cleaning products) that caused the colour change. I wouldn't worry about it too much

I don’t think it’s dirt because soapy water would not take it off, however it comes off easily with a silver cleaning cloth, which confirms that it indeed is tarnish/oxidization. It’s only on the side that’s closer to my hand, maybe it’s caused by hand lotion or something.

I would take it into the boutique to get cleaned and I would try and avoid chlorine

Get the deep shine service at Cartier once a year. It should be fine
