I think they are so pretty as well! So I have always been certain about getting a yellow diamond engagement ring. Finding a shade that clicks is so hard though. I would be much less picky if it's for other pieces but for my ring I want it to be my perfect shade of yellow

In fact I didn't even know fancy vivid orange is an option. This is so helpful! How would you say the color compares to a fancy vivid yellow? The orange is more intense? Thank you! It is yellow orange. It is considered a yellow diamond with orange undertones. It is deeper in color than some other yellows. However, if you are looking for a true yellow this color might not be for you.
Some fancy yellow (even some fancy intense yellow) I saw in-store lean more towards a greenish undertone. I'm not sure if it's the lighting. So I was yet to find a true yellow in my eyes. My struggle is the sales associate said due to the Australia mine shortage, there's not much stock to choose from. I wanted to see the fancy vivid yellow and she had to order in 2 pendants. She said they can make them into rings if I like any. I'm wondering when you purchased your ring, did you have many options to choose from, or is it usually limited when it comes to yellow diamond?
I wasn’t looking for a ring. I just was looking for a push present with hubby and browsing at Tiffany. We both saw it, loved the color and bought it on the spot. As a side note my hubby doesn’t normally like yellow diamonds but thought the color on my ring was so intense that he didn’t hesitate.
It is not uncommon for yellow diamonds to have undertones. Green and brown are also possible. I hope to get a pendant that matches my ring one day. I just really love the orange undertone.
