This ring is just so stunning. If you aren't completely in love with it though you shouldn't get it. The saturation of the color is just the prettiest shade of goldenrod. Have you made any headway in your decision yet or are you still fairly on the fence about it? :) Regardless it's very beautiful ring and whoever it ends up with will be one very lucky lady! Thanks for sharing it!
I have a gut feeling the jewelers wife may end up with this ring...if I don't buy it.

I really like oval stones and would buy this absolutely beautiful ring without hesitation if the price was right .
I love oval stones, too, but on someone else. LOL!
In the grand scheme of things the price is good!

After seeing this gorgeous ring, I never thought I'd say this, but if I were you, I don't think I'd buy it. At what I'm sure is considerable cost, it's not something you want to be settling for. And, you are right, the stone IS the ring.

I swear I'm not just saying that so you'll tell me where it is! :graucho:
:smooch:

Beautiful, but why is it set in white gold?
Hmmmmmm...I would say to showcase the diamonds, the yellow diamond doesn't need any help. Actually makes the stone pop!

Somehow I missed this thread! Wow skyqueen this ring is stunning and looks stunning on your hand as well! I actually think colored stones look best in the oval shape, next the emerald cut. Since it's not a diamond oval like your previous e-ring, I consider it a completely different looking ring. I think you should totally go for it. You will get your fair of share of looks when you wear this beauty, it's a really unique ring, exquisitely designed. I wish I could see big blown up pictures of it. Heck I wish I could grab your hand and study it lol.

Hey Bench...glad you joined the party. You make a good point, totally different ring. Plus, I wouldn't change a thing...beautifully made!

As far as pics are concerned...I probably take the WORST pics of anyone on the jewelry forum. Can't seem to master this!!! Frustrating.................

Have you made a decision? That ring is a knock-out and looks gorgeous on you!

Hi Tink...thanks for joining in!
I've taken a rest this weekend from ring drama! Plus the poor jeweler wasn't open today.
Might go back tomorrow for another look.

I love everyone's enthusiasm...can't thank my jewelry girls enough!!!

Sorry. What I meant was that usually "good" diamonds are set in platinum. Is it set in white gold because of the weight? Its such a large stone that the platinum would be too heavy?

Oh...I see what you mean. I don't know, but I have a lot of diamond jewelry...some expensive pieces, some so-so all in WG/YG.
I'm not particularly fond of platinum so I'm glad it's set in 18kt.

Hi Lee...too afraid to buy online. I have to see a diamond IRL, kind of getting a feel for the stone. Hard to explain..................
NYC would be an option but I'm lazy...plus it's nice to have someone local incase of trouble.

See we need to have a girls trip to NYC, LOL. I have been avoiding buying a pink or yellow diamond band for the same reason. I can't find a decent one in DC and hate to order online. SIGH!

Anyways, interested to see what you decide.

Im another Yellow Diamond girl (my er is a yellow diamond). That ring is amazing! My ER is from a dealer that does ALOT of colored diamonds and its set in WG 18k... which for me is great because I am NOT a platinum fan.

Do you have a pic, Theren? Love to see...............
A little bit of sunshine is just what the doctor ordered.

Pleasepleasepleaseplease get it :D ;)

Honestly, I love the stone, the colour is so fiery and delicious!! Oval-cut diamonds just look so decadent IMO - you get great bling for buck

It's funny, I've been looking at a FI yellow oval diamond on the net, nowhere near as big as this baby but still, so elegant looking :girlsigh:

I hope you feel better soon SQ :hugs:
