Year 2000s (00s decade) bags that we still love

I still have several Marc Jacobs bags stored away somewhere. I never purchased the Stam, but I had some other pretty great ones. Oooh actually, I have two MJs in my handbag closet. I can't remember the name, but they are a quilted flap (one is blue and one is an orangish-red). I still have my mustard Alexander Wang Rocco. It is so heavy, but the leather is luscious! Lastly, my Proenza Schouler KeepAlls. I had (have?) a PS1, but the quality isn't great. The KeepAll bag was not nearly as popular, but I love it. The look is so timeless! I own three of the regular ones and one larger bag I have used a few times as a carry-on bag. Oh, and of course the Bals.

Another for the Balenciaga motorcycle bags. The City and Chanel Classic flaps are my two favorite styles and I don’t see it changing. I consider the City a classic at this point, if a bit less popular than it used to be.

I still love my Alexander Wang Brenda as well, I really thought that one would go on to become a classic too but it didn’t. I miss his original line of bags! Brenda, Donna, back when the Rocco was still called the “Coco”. Not into any of the newer styles. I guess I’m boring but I like when a fashion house has staple styles

I still have my Gerard Darel 24Hr bag. It was an IT bag for a brief time, and then strangely, the brand disappeared from the scene here. I kept her for nostalgia, but I should take her out of her dustbag and let her breathe.

I bought a Gerald Darel 24 bag 2 months ago. It reminds me so much of a Esprit pleather bag I had during uni 10 years ago and I had to have it.
Yours is very pretty!

My Marc Jacobs was my first luxury bag...I still have it, though it is super heavy. I'm sad that MJ is no longer as nice as it was before. I also have the Gucci horse bit line...love it!

I feel like once Marc left LV as creative director and was only working on his brand it went downhill fast. I loved his quilted leather bags the first thing he got rid of. I still have a quilted flap one that kind of reminds me of a Chanel style bag.

Anyone remember the Céline Poulbot?
About the same size as a Bagette, every year they’d have a charity auction of a one-off artist version. For their tenth anniversary, they released a “color your own” with leather paint pens.

A review on the Blog lead me to finding tPF back in the day. I still have mine (and my late 90s baguette.

Believe it or not they still brought similar design to 2010s Celine but... Again quickly discontinued I got similar clutch with magnetic tab hardware instead of leather tab. It's nice to put a name to the bag's inspiration, thanks!

On to the topic, I probably didn't have much experience with bags at the decade but I could say that from outsider perspective, Balenciaga city bags are truly the king of 2000s, and probably PS1 as well. I remember that at the late 00s satchel bags were everywhere, and The satchel bag company(?) bags from England were the rage. It spawned multiple local copycat riding along the trend
