I know the speedies are supposed to me dimensionally the same size in the regular mono and the speedy b....but I think the 40 looks bigger in the speedy b style than in the regular mono speedy 40. I don't know if it is because it looks larger hanging by a person's side and smaller handheld....

I think it really depends on how tall you are and how much you carry. For me, I'm 5'5 on a good day and I have short legs and even shorter arms (haha I swear I'm proportionate). The 40 basically hangs almost to the floor, so I wouldn't carry it around for everyday. Also, I carry hardly anything, so it would just look kind of silly since my 30 has barely anything in it. But again, it depends on you! Whatever works for you works the best for you!

i think it depends on how much you carry on a daily basis and how comfortable you are with a large bag. also your height...i'm 5'4" so my speedy 35 is plenty large on me. i will use my 35 as an everyday bag and take it to work, etc. a former coworker called it 'luggage' on me since it does look big on me, but i still don't care since i love the bag and how useful/functional it is. so if the 40 fits your needs, go for it!

I just walked into an LV store and bought the mono Speedy 40, without even planning to do so. My intentions were to go in and "look" at the Neverful GMs in mono and ebene. But I feel in love with the speedy 40.

I have a mono 35 and the ebene 35, but I plan to use the 40 as my everyday work back. To be honest I'm 5'7 and over 200 pounds, and the 40 looks so great on me. In fact I look at the 35 as if they are too small now (lol). I think it's perfect for an everyday 'go to work' bag.

Go into the store if you can and test out the 40, it's all up to your body size and your preference either way. I am so glad I got the 40.

Hi, I have never posted on here but I read a lot of the posts, actually I am not sure I will be able to post on here but here goes.... I want to buy a Speedy 40 but I am not sure. I would want to use it as an everyday bag, but I am a big girl so I am sure I can ROCK it. I have 2 neverfull GM and the Mahina XXL, the mezzo cabas and the Speedy 35 damier that is too small. My question is....if the handles are longer on the 40....b/c the ones on my 35 only go a little past my wrist. :( I know it is not a shoulder bag but at I do wish I could carry it on my forearm ~ So if anyone knows more about the 40 please let me know.

I wear it as an everyday bag and I get SOOO many compliments on it. Matter of fact, not long ago I was passing by the LV store and one of the associates came running out and gushed about how good I made the size look. I wear it cross body and it slouches and conforms to my body in the most magnificent way. I'm 5'5 and about 138 pounds and I don't think it overpowers me at all. I upgraded from the 30 and will probably never touch my 30 again, but plan on saving it for my daughter when she is old enough to carry it.

I fit a snuggie in it one time when I was on a flight ! :) It makes the perfect carry on.

I love the Speedy 40 and I use it as an everyday bag and it works out just fine. I am a college student, so sometimes it is very helpful when I can just shove a textbook in it. I am 5 ft. 10; however, I think anyone can pull off a 40 since it does sag a lot.

I also find that it makes me feel better on those days when I feel *cough cough* flabulous :p
