You know, I had a similar thought the other day. I was wondering what I would do if my bf got me a fake LV bag (since he doesn't really know much about LV and how much they really cost!). Personally, I HATE fakes and would not use them at ALL. But if a person dear to me gets it as a gift, I'd accept it but keep it in the closet. It would have a sentimental value to me but I would not take it out to play outside. But that's just me.

I agree....friends are just too dear to me...to hurt their feelings over a gift. I would accept it and keep it in the closet.

I would accept it and be gracious...but I would be mortified. I would probably go out and buy the real thing and pretend its the same one they gave me! LOL
A funny similiar story. A friend gave me this Vase for my home. He was so proud of himself but it was the UGLIEST thing I have ever seen. It was supposed to look like a orchid but it looks like a vagina. So my husband and I hid it and everytime he comes over we have to put it out. My husband said the other day he was sick of this and that he was going to tell him it break when we were cleaning it. Its awkward.
