If someone gave me a fake knowing it was a fake I'd probably not accept it. If someone gave me a fake that they thought was real and were excited to give it to me thinking it was real I'd accept it graciously and condem it to the closet.

One of my good friends gave me a fake LV for my b-day a few yrs ago and even though I know it was a fake (the inside pocket came off after a few days), I wore it once to a social event that I know she was going to attend just to "show" her that I'm using her gift. She was really excited to see me with the bag and the look on her face was priceless. After that party, I gave it away to the Salvation Army. I know it's the thought that counts but I really prefer her to get me a cheap non-designer bag or a gift card instead.

That was the first and last time I'm wearing a fake bag! :laugh:

Out of courtesy, I will accept the gift. I would also use it once when we meet just to show my appreciation. Then, it will just stay in my closet and after a couple of years, then I would get rid of it.

In either siutation friend or boyfriend/even family.. If i would it to be fake i'd let them know.
Thank you for thinking about me and giving/purchasing me this bag, the though was very nice but its fake and i dont support the use/sale of fake bags.
Perhaps use the bag as planter if they insisted I keep it.

If it's a superfake, they might get taken in by mistake... Not everyone is as knowledgeable about bags as most of you here.

I wouldn't accept it then try to gently break out the news.
