I agree with noshoepolish. I have seen several of the painted bags on eBay, usually the older legacy bags like the basic bag, and I strongly believe that they are covering up damage to the bag and doing this so that it can be sold for better price.

On a "crafty" program one time I saw someone else use rubber stamps on a Coach bag she bought for $1. All I could think of was "you got a bargain and then you wrecked it!" haha!
