Would u sell a Kelly for a Chanel?

You’ve had good advice here in the thread so the only thing I’d add is that I wear my hermes everywhere, target, Trader Joe’s, you name it, whereas I will never wear a Chanel flap in those places.

Agree. A Chanel flap is basically a target on your back these days. And I guess the Hermes is such good quality it should stand the test of time. I feel like it’s 2007 again where you don’t want to show labels anymore.

I was not even thinking about that from that angle because I see a lot of people carrying their LVs in those places and labels for those are more visible.
I was thinking about even if I bring my H to a grocery store, it would be fine and come out unscathed even if it gets a little wet from the produce section or get a little dust. I am comfortable putting my H bag in the cart and I know I can wipe it afterwards. For me H bags are more carefree.

Keep the Kelly and the Chanel medium flap. The 226 re-issue can wait because you can buy them pre-loved on the resale market as they don't hold their value as much as the other two bags you recently bought.

ITA with this assuming you love both and will use both (as per @Love Of My Life and others above) BTW, why not wear your kelly to the grocery store? I do (though I keep my cc in my pocket so as not to inflame other shoppers waiting behind me

I've never had a Kelly. I have a Chanel 225. A Kelly is more gorgeous than a Chanel.

I would not sell Hermes for Chanel. If anything would be the other way round.... I feel so blessed for every b/k/c offer. I would never sell them.

Oh lord no please! The craftsmanship of older Hermès bags in particular is beyond comparison. Keep and, more importantly, use the Hermès bag please. Otherwise it’s guilt gathering dust in your closet.

I think retourne Kelly is super casual. You can easily rock it anywhere. Chanel is kinda basic and everywhere. Kelly is so special

I don't own any CHANEL bags, I was close to buying a Boy, but the quality overall didn't impress me and the price was just ridiculous. I prefer Hermès, Fendi and LV.

Keep the Kelly, on the long run you'll be thankful for having done so!
