do you mind share what your SA told you?

They are allowed to purchase, at set intervals, and yes, there is a limit. And although they do receive a discount, it's not at those extremely low prices. And goods are offered to SAs in a more orderly way - no online scrambles. The SAs I know were able to obtain pretty much any bag they wanted, but there is a limit to how many they can purchase when.

The situation varies from country to county, the one I am talking about the system in France.
We are only allowed one bag every year (Lindy Birkin Kelly Constance etc), 5 scarf every discount event, 2 belts.
And they would be all marked with our series number and a S letter for staff.
I've kept one piece of receipt that we bought one time last year, the price is sure as I told. The scarf is 85 euro, the Lindy is 1000 euro, CDC is 150 euro, the shoes are all only 10% of the original price.
And at the end of the collection, the salesmen at some shops(the shops except for Paris in France) are allowed to take one set of outfits( one top, one trousers, one shoes) for free from the previous collection.

The SAs I know have all worked for Hermes for many years (more than 10 in most cases) and all I can say is that what you describe is very different from what I have heard from multiple sales people.

I will see if I could find the receipt for you, what I described is what I've been through with my colleague when I was inside of the house.

I know Hermes does things differently from country to country in terms of access to goods for clients. I would think, though, that their policies for employees would be consistent throughout the company.

In terms of posting things like receipts, Hermes employees do read here. So you might want to consider that before posting things like receipts from an employee sale, in the event it gets your former colleague in trouble with the company.

I totally understand, when facing doubts, that would be the best way to clear myself. And I could have some receipt from the colleague who no longer works in Hermes, either I could wipe off the confident information on the receipt.
I am trying merely to share some interesting information with the friends here which wouldn't hurt Hermes, I've kept enough in confidence already. I fully understand the effect it would bring to me or any of my friend.

I want to share some benefits about being a sales assistant.
Many people ask us if we could easily purchase a bag for ourselves, the answer is NO, we have a few chances every year for purchase items for ourselves. We occasionally have some discount event for staff, goods available vary every time.Sometimes there's leather product, sometimes there's only clothes. I have to say, the leather products are very rare on the discount event, not mention the birkin or kelly bags. And these bags are popular the same to fight for even inside of the company. There's two kinds of discount events, one is Online(access only through the computers inside of the shop), the other is hold in Paris. When it's online discount, it's more about luck because you never know when or what kind of item they would put on the website, the sales assistant could only purchase on the system 2 times every event, you could log in many times but with a limited time allowed. And it happens always during our duty time, so we barely have time to check all the time on the system to grab the things. The other event is held in Paris, before the public discount event, and like the public one, many people start to wait there several hours before opening and rush to the leather section.
And I have to say, the price is amazing!!
Kelly or birkin bags is around 1,500 euro, the scarf is around 85 euro, the cashmere is around 150 euro, and the most of the rest cost only 10% of the original price in the shop. But even so, we are not buying everything, they are still too expensive for us. Like there is some CORNE material necklace is marked around 400 euro in the shop, 80 euro on the discount event for us, but we know the cost to produce is only 5 euro. So we prefer to purchase some leather product. I have a friend who bought a belt in crocodile which only costs 300 euro.
And when there is no discount event, we are only allowed around 10% off the price.

Thanks for sharing Rom. I also heard about the 10%. As for coveted bags, I was told staffs were only given a one-time opportunity to buy during their employment with H.

Sure... and I believe you even from your previous post. It is not surprising to hear more inconsistencies from H. Thanks for sharing :-)

Totally agree! One of the reasons Hermes can be so frustrating to deal with is precisely because the information can be inconsistent, from store to store and country to country.

Rom.roths,
Just to share, my SA told me about the online sales as well and the prices are like you said- very good! The staff ID is stamped on bags and just S on the SLGs.
I did not ask about their quota or how many types of sales there is...
