This randomly popped up in my feed the title says it all. I think that it's hilarious that this woman is doing it. I know that Hermes bags can cost thousands to hundreds of thousands but I feel like she's cray cray to do this. People are human and make mistakes, it's not like the waiter intentionally did this. They mentioned that the insurance company dismissed it my question is it the country clubs insurance or her own insurance? I feel like if you're spending that much money on handbags you'd insure them, no different than insuring jewelry. If it's the clubs insurance that dismissed it it's probably not covered under thier policy. The amount of time, money, and energy spent suing them is a such a waste. It just comes off as extremely petty. I also feel like it would basically ruin the relationship you have both with the club and other members. Surely both sides will be taking about it, making it a awkward environment to go too.

I find it hard to believe two people just sat there while a waiter continued to pour wine all over the two of them & her bag. The whole story sounds utterly ridiculous. Accidents happen. Even the best waiter/waitresses have had their moments. I’ve been at a table many times where a customer has spilled a drink. That’s when the wine goes everywhere - all over the table getting on multiple people & possessions. If the waiter knocked their glass of wine over I would find it much more believable than them saying he basically poured it all over the 2 of them & her bag. Where’s the proof that he did this?

I had a carless and unappologetic waitress spill a sweet drink on my brand new Oran sandals a few years back. I was upset at the fact that not only did she not appologise, but she still charged us for the drink. She didn't get a tip from us that day, but that was the end of it.

I can understand most of the time when it's an accident, but in this case.... "Whoever the waiter was proceeded to pour red wine and didn't stop. Poured it all over her. Poured it all over her husband. And poured it all over a very expensive Hermès bag.'
'It's sort of like a rich person problem. They couldn't comprehend that a bag could be that much. I think that was the biggest problem with that. They kind of discriminated against her that she actually owned that type of bag."

Wasn't an accident, huh. This kind of thing happens way too often, and discrimination over our choices to spend our own money on bags is unfortunately something that happens all the time as well. There's always that argument that we shouldn't spend our money on these things especially when they could get damaged or stolen etc... :sleepy:

Did the waiter loose their job over this?
