Why do you continue to buy Louis Vuitton?

1) Durability and longevity. My mom has bags half my age that still look good. I have bags a decade old that look great also.
2) LV remains fashionable. My 10-year old NF is arguably more popular now than it was when I first got it.
3) Variety in styles, materials/patterns, colors and sizes. There is something for everyone and every occasion.
4) I can easily dress LV up or down.
5) Reasonable price point for a luxury brand.
6) Resale value. I get bored easily so I like that I can sell and sometimes make a profit.
7) Their bags are comfortable to carry.
8) Good customer service.
9) History.
10) Easy to find other LV lovers to strike a convo with. :)

I started buying bags more seriously about five years ago. I started with the Coach 1941 line (I still think those bags are high quality and well made for the money) and then started buying LV in 2017. I have couple of Dior, but most of my recent purchases are LV. I love how light and durable they are, as well as the way they look. They're workhorses to me, and I value that. I dress casually the majority of the time (other than at the office or when going out for a special occasion) so I'm just not a WOC kinda girl.

I'm happy with everything I bought from LV; I haven't sold or passed any items on to others. I gifted many of my Coach bags when I realized that I really don't like to switch bags nearly as often as I did the first year and don't want colours that don't match most of my wardrobe because I have to change them out too much and it's a burden rather than a pleasure.

I have no desire to add anything to my collection at this point though; working from home the last six months has made me realize how excessive my collection really is. I carried a NF for months and switched into my NeoNoe. I just switched into a leather bag because I thought I should rotate but I'll likely switch back to canvas soon because it's so much lighter.

When the world gets back to normal, I'll see if I start using my bags again. Until then, I have no interest in even looking at new ones.

I have gone back and forth on LV and have found that the classics (and their vintage pieces ) are easy to carry, versatile, and truly timeless. I have a number of other luxury brands like YSL, Chanel, and Hermès, but Louis Vuitton is the only brand I’ve bought consistently without disappointment/buyer’s remorse.

I’ve carried a (preowned) workhorse Neverfull nearly daily for over 3 years and haven’t found anything I love more for daily use, including my Chanel flap or Hermès Evelyne, both of which are significantly more expensive. Those bags still have a place in my rotation for special occasions or for traveling, but you just can’t beat the lightweight, durable LV canvas or the vachetta that gets better with age.

I’m currently eye-ing a 20+ year old epi Noe to use as a “mommy bag” since my first is due in a few months, and I am truly excited about adding another vintage piece to my collection. There’s something special about that LV heritage!

I recently purchased a petite noe in black Epi from 1988. It is in great condition, just a few corner rubs and some settling of the bag. Absolutely incredible for a 30+ year old bag. I am in love, and ordered a black full size Noe for when I need more room. Eyeing other colors, the Epi is so durable and light! Go for it!

This is super encouraging, as my one hesitation was the weight! I have heard that the Epi wears particularly well over time, too. I love that it is so worry free. Can’t wait to order one!

I don't know why - I just like it! In saying that I liked LV a lot more during the Marc Jacobs era. Even my hubby has commented how the quality is just not there anymore, it's very disappointing when prices keep going up and up but some of the bags have quite obvious shoddy work on them and are still allowed to be put out for sale.
