Unlike most I've only started 4 years ago. I look back with fond memories. I love LV because of resilience in both materials and the timeless style(some).

However... this may be an unpopular opinion.. But I think they're getting quiet greedy. Canvas pieces nearing 3000, leather pieces with small capacities at a same price range, churning out designs and seasons like fast fashion, cutting out quality materials, most of pieces getting hard to acquire(for various reasons), price increase during covid etc.

Will I still buy LV? Absolutely. But I'm steering more towards collecting vintages at the moment. I love their designs and how they stand against time. And there is always a thrill of finding something new in something old.

What did you decide? I loved the Loulou Puffer and Jamie but was afraid they would be too trendy

I got the YSL woc in large size. I chose silver hardware to "modernize" the style and I think this way I can both dress up or dress down. I was shopping for felicie(friend's insistence) but the capacity was just so so so small. Plus my whole argument for beyond reasonable price point applies to felicie. The cost was more reasonable and tolerable 2 increases ago for both empreinte and canvas in my opinion.

I think Jamie has a potential to be timeless but puffer is a definite trend piece. You should look for sales or bargains for YSL and never pay full price! But I love how squishy puffer looks!

Great question! I have just always loved LV and I think monogram is so beautiful. I bought some DE and I sold most of it because monogram is my favorite, and I love the black trim monogram bags as an alternative to DE. The fakes are super annoying to see, especially the franken-bags (designs that LV never made).

I had a guy on the street ask me out of the blue "is it real" and I was like huh? I had no clue what he was talking about as I don't really think about my bags when I carry them. It wasn't until I passed him that I realized he was asking about my bag!

But I honestly don't care that some people might think my bag is fake, I know it's real, and it means I won't be targeted for theft anymore than someone else.
