Great thread! I'm 30, a military wife currently stationed overseas with DH, and I work as part of the command support staff for a military coalition training force. No kids yet, but I do have 2 very spoiled furbabies. I love to travel, eat, watch movies, spend time with my loved ones, and of course shop for MK bags!

I only discovered MK less than 2 years ago, and I went from one turquoise Hamilton to a large collection of Selmas, Suttons, Hamiltons, and a few other pieces. And even though I love a good deal and only ever buy bags when I can get a good bargain (never full retail), I'm trying to slow down from buying anymore. I want to enjoy my current collection and make sure each bag gets equal love. :smile1:

Mid-twenty, medical resident, from a medium-sized town in the heart of Germany. But dreaming of settling over to the US one day. :D

I actually love MK because to my mind it's premium quality with really cool styles. I actually just sold my LV Speedy and MCM Shopper because I just didn't like the image of these brands anymore. Too many people carrying the same bags of the same brand which are high-priced (LV even more than MCM) but of poor quality (in contrast to the price and bags from other designers with better quality, such as MK). I got really really fed up with that and I literally couldn't see those bags anymore. So I sold them and now, I am really happy about that and I am already looking which MK bags I want to buy for my freshly earned money. ;)

By the way, I also already heart sayings like "Every kid wears MK". But honestly, I really think that it is so sad that people like that obviously need to impose themselves on others by the brand of the bag they are carrying. That is really really sad. And I don't wanna use my bags for that purpose. :roflmfao:

Great thread:-)
I'm 32 and I work full time as CSR at one of the largest Rent a Car company here in US, originally from Island of Hawaii and currently living here in Seattle WA. I discover MK 3years ago my Bf now Fiance gifted me a MK watch on our vacation and I love it up to now still my favorite:-) after 6 months he gifted me a matching bracelet. I visited the store and to see and check it out and I left the store with Hamilton Satchel in pebbled leather in black with GHW, I love that bag I believe I used it for a straight whole year:-) now I just purchased the Hamilton Satchel in pebbled leather in GHW and I'm looking forward to be a little nice with my MK bag I will baby this one a little bit:-) I do own some Premier brand but I don't agree when other forum bash the MK brand I think It's too childish and It's not nessesary to be like that so overboard IMHO and the only thing I know for sure Money can't buy a class:-)
It's always fun here ladies and Have a good day to all of us!

I am 43, live in the UK and am an IT trainer. I discovered Michael Kors when I read a newspaper that had a feature on popular brands and one of the bags featured was the Selma.

I had up until that point been a loyal Mulberry fan, plus a brand local to the county in UK I live in, that does the original ugg boots and branched into leather handbags as well.

I did buy a Modalu pippa bag two years ago, but am just about to sell it as I have been so disappointed in the quality of the leather, plus it is Mulberry or MK for me only now. I am only planning new purchases from MK and will just stop with what I have Mulberry wise, due to how expensive they have become in last few years. MK is affordable and a lot of shapes are timeless.

So anyway, on seeing the Selma in the article, it was love at first sight and I now own large Selma in red, large Sophie in navy and a Portland in tan. I use my Selma for work and my others are much more for weekends, as they are more slouchy given the leather they are. so, that is 3 MK bags since November last year and I know it won't stop there. I want to get a sutton in the nice cerise pink they do. I always tended to buy my Mulberry's in tan or chocolate so with my MK collection. I am trying to be a bit more adventurous, although saying that with the Portland I have done it again, tan! I think it is because that colour goes with anything. However, having pushed myself out of my shade comfort zone, I do find my red Selma seems to pretty much go with any colour of clothing.

I always say, a handbag will always fit me. My clothes sometimes not so much lol.:D

Mid 20's from Canada, married and working. Fell in love with the Hamilton because it was the closest thing to a hermes bag I would ever afford. That is when the addiction started. Basically my bags fall under the categories of pinks/ black / browns / neutral.
