That comment is offensive on so many levels to so many people, but you really have to take into consideration the person who said it.

I own LV and I agree with there not being enough compartments, but I still love the bags. I love MK because of price point, style and functionality and I don't feel like I need to justify that to anyone :)
I totally agree with this!

Hope it helps.
In the past I have given a few seminars on staying private online.
She has more than enough info to be hacked.
There are a few other ladies on this thread that are giving too much info also.
These kinds of threads of so much fun because you get to know people and they are friends. It's easy to forget this forum isn't really private.

As a "bum" who loves bags, MK,LV and well, ALL others, I pose this question: is there really such a thing as the WRONG brand?
Totally agree with you. Whatever brand you love it really doesn't matter, why are people such bag snobs! I love lots of brands used to be really heavily into LV but my MK Tote I bought for a fraction of the cost of an LV is in my opinion just as well made....plus its all leather which to me is a bonus straight away....I have got into Coach recently and Kate Spade as well as Aspinal London (lovely quality). Ralph Lauren bags are great quality as Longchamp and other brands. Ted Baker have some great bags as do Moschino and Armani.... I saw a Moshino quilted soft leather bag comparible to a chanel classic flap which was a fraction of the cost.....I think sometimes we can be driven to the best brands simply because of the media hype and exclusivity of a brand....

A 53 year old, 2 grown children, married recently, for the third time and got the right one after two horrible tries :p Since the first time I saw the MK astor line, around 6 or 7 years ago....HOOKED. Never got over it, now carrying a MK black astor satchel, with matching wallet !!! ohhhhh, heaven :smile1:

Nearing 60, 3 children & 2 dogs; live in the South; retired. I've always loved purses & shoes. I have some expensive bags, Fendi, Prada, ect but I really like well made handbags that are reasonably priced which is where MK comes in. It's a personal preference what someone carries & how much they spend. If they like a bag & it makes them feel good & confident , what difference does it make.

Hey everyone, it's good to be here, i'm hoping to enjoy my stay and so far this site seems great.

I need a little help though I saw a lady today with an awesome MK crossbody which also had a zipper at the base. However, I cannot seem to find an image of that crossbody ANYWHERE on the www after searching for over 2 hours.

Can anyone assist in the name of the bag, the style # etc.?

Thanks in advance for your help?

I'm in my late twenties. Ack! I'm getting old. Hopefully wiser. I have three kids, married. I'm a SAHM. I actually have photo proof of the first time I saw an MK bag. HAHA. I saw the Hamilton and I fell in love and quickly hunted for my own...I think I went overboard, because now I have way too many. I never wore purses before.

I'm 49 and work for a law firm. I've been in love with MK bags for many years. The Jet Set top zip tote with the vachetta handles was still being sold at Macy's when I bought my first one. I love the functionality of his bags and the price point. (I don't own any of his bags from the higher end line). As for the comment that even bums carry MK, that just goes to show that even bums can have good taste. :smile1:

Wish I could help. I have seen the bag on ebay. I don't recall the name. Welcome to the TPF!! We have much fun here. We share where all the good sales are and we also authenticate bags you find on the internet to help keep you from buying fakes. But please check the titles of the treads so you are in the right place. This question belongs in the 'identify this Michael Kors bag' thread. If you post your question there, someone else might know and be able to answer you. They will never see your question here. So please repost it in the 'identify this Michael Kors ' thread. You may have to flip to page 2.. No worries, we have all done this, including myself, when we were new! lol! WELCOME and have fun! Hope you find the bag!

I currently have 3 MK bags, I think it is 3. I did sell a couple that I was no longer using. Have been admiring them since the first store opened in my neighborhood several years ago. I currently use:

2 purple bags, my Jenna and a saffiano large hamilton
1 black Selma (i've had it a few years)
1 luggage medium Miranda tote (this is the first gen one, not the current one with the strap)

I am mid 30s, live in the Bay Area (California), and I work in marketing at a tech company.

For a little history. My first "nice" bag was a via spiga bag. I am just now about to consign it, over a decade later! It is just not my style any more. This was the I only want one awesome bag phase. And I rarely switched. Then it was a coach bag (that sadly died) as my day to day bag. Then a BCBG. Then I got more obsessed, and I liked MKs all-american classics. And Coach wasn't working for me. Then I started getting more bags and rotating lots and lots. I have had Furla, Kate Spade, Botkier, Rebecca Minkoff and more Coach and MK. Oh and do not forget Target.

Now I am paring down my bags. And getting into decluttering and having less stuff. I started with bags, as it is easy to pare down. I am midway through the process now. I made a list of the ones I wanted. I pretty much have them all done. Still overboard on the clutches and the like and I need to pare those.

I got my "dream" bag the other week, and got a Ferragamo that I am loving so far. And is inspiring me to pare more.

But at the end of the day, I get loads of compliments on the MK bags I have too! I like them. I love the MK organization/pockets. Wish they were better made.

I'm 24, working at a university. I feel anyone can wear MK cause they have a versatile variety of bags! From really classy/ sophisticated ones (the Miranda, Sutton and Selma) and more casual ones too. I think MK speaks to a wide variety of women and occasions :)

Mid 20s, California, young "professional" DINK with two cat-babies :3. Always loved MK's styling, and can now finally afford it. I love the brand because the products are versatile, well made, and hit that fine balance between sophisticated and contemporary.
