I stopped when I read that comment, just rude but there are rude people no matter what environment.....

Murphy47-Glad you said something I wouldn't have thought you could find someone from that little info but to keep it safe no cities or names of your job.....
I understand that; however, when the moderators of this forum have indicated that such behavior will not be tolerated and have deleted others post for wayyyyy less (seen this in the feedback forum)... I find that problematic. This is a community in which respect for others should be a given and degrading comments should be removed/addressed. It is unfortunate that others feel such behavior is admirable and justified.

I totally agree Minkette, the comment was offensive to not only us but the homeless as well. It was very insensitive to others b/c we are all mostly working woman whether that be a 9to5 or the hard job of being a SAHM.

Hope it helps.
In the past I have given a few seminars on staying private online.
She has more than enough info to be hacked.
There are a few other ladies on this thread that are giving too much info also.
These kinds of threads of so much fun because you get to know people and they are friends. It's easy to forget this forum isn't really private.

As a "bum" who loves bags, MK,LV and well, ALL others, I pose this question: is there really such a thing as the WRONG brand?

I believe its all personal preference with bags, no matter your income. I can afford pricier bags but I love MK first and foremost, and I like to have more bags that are still good quality, then one super duper expensive bag.

You are right, I sure do forget sometimes that anyone can view this forum...Im sure many appreciate you for bringing it up, I suggest if you have any more tips to present them to ensure we are all safe :)

I love all those pockets in MK bags. Coach used to be my fav for organizing, but MK just hit the nail on the head with me for keeping track of stuff.
I have 2 LV that I just love for quality of materials. They just feel SOOOO nice. But the French and Italians just don't seem to put enough pockets. How do those ladies manage I wonder?
Haven't tried Hermes or Chanel yet. Some of the threads I have read on problems with those houses lately with quality issues makes me think my DD's college fund is safe.....for now. 😄

There is not a wrong brand for me per say.. just different lifestyle choices in terms of price points.

I will say there is a wrong style of bag for me... The infamous shoulder bag that won't stay on my shoulder or the shoulder bag with super skinny straps that causes pain...

+1, I personally don't like Balenciaga (spelling lol) but I see it on my friend and she rocks it and it looks so great on her, but It doesn't suit me. i no longer buy just shoulder bags, I like handheld bags with a optional shoulder strap for running around with the family!

Zakksmommie- hello! This thread is fun, but you are giving away to much info to trolls and hackers.

Since I live in the area, I could already find you just from what you posted.

Please be careful. Too many criminals out there!

Wow I didn't know you could find people without our names on here. And I didn't put my city name but I will delete it anyway. Thanks

You stated a state, 10 minutes from STL, where you worked, what u did.
Your name has your sons name, and your year of birth. MORE than enough to troll you.
Glad u changed your pic!!
Gotta stay safe.

I totally agree about the compartments. MK has so many more compartments than Coach. A standard bag will have at least six compartments compared to Coach's standard of only 4. I too, like to be organized, not having to fumble around, looking for something. It's good for everything to have it's own place. Also, MK has so many more styles to choose from, with something for everyone, no matter what your taste.

I prefer bags with more of a rock and roll flare and MK can certainly accommodate that with their python and studded designs. I use the more classic bags for when I go to court! lol! Or when I want to look classy, which isn't very often.

Coach became real boring for me. Not enough styles to choose from. The hottest thing they have going now is their Poppy line and they are so cheaply made. A couple of my friends have them and they fall apart after 6 months! But hey! To each their own, right?

When people start judging you by what bag you have, those are not the kind of people I want to be around anyway. Calling women BUMS, you say? Because of what bag you carry? Well then I say they must be BAG ladies! lol! I know some wonderful ladies that have no idea who or what these designers are. Many of them are professionals, wonderful Moms and Grand Mothers. Those are my friends that I love to buy them a nice designer bag as a gift. Before you know it, they are hooked! lol!

And since when do 'bums' cruise the river in their 40 foot mini yacht? lol! Oh that's right, BEACH BUMS! I enjoy summer nights at the Yacht club. I am a designer for a major chain of department stores. I do displays and dress up mannequins . Right now we are swamped doing Christmas displays.I love what I do and I LOVE Michael Kors bags!

Anyone 'can' become homeless/poor through no fault of their own (SAHM whose husband deserts the family, losing a job because the business fails) and it's reasonable to continue to use whatever clothes/purse they already have. On the LV forum there was a thread a while back about seeing someone with LV using food stamps.

I'm in Canada, nearing retirement age, and new to MK since I stopped liking the new styles/reduced quality of my old favorite Coach. So far just one purse and one wallet but I think MK is my new favorite.

There are a lot of fakes out there. It's possible that what the lady saw were bums with MK fakes.

Just adding that I don't have MK yet. But I do adore the Hamilton style. ;)

I'm 30, live in Canada with my husband, two dogs, I work in HR.

That comment is offensive on so many levels to so many people, but you really have to take into consideration the person who said it.

I own LV and I agree with there not being enough compartments, but I still love the bags. I love MK because of price point, style and functionality and I don't feel like I need to justify that to anyone :)
