White birkin lock

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I try looking into the reference area and I wasn't able to find my answer. I hope you guys can help me, sorry if it has already been asked. I'm interested in getting a white birkin in clemence leather, but my question is..Is the lock also cover in white leather or does it need to be special order. I've seen celebrity in magazines carrying white birkin with locks that are cover with white leather so I'm not sure is that for all white birkin's? Thanks in advance!

Nope, it comes white as standard. My white clemence 35 came with a white lock, and it was definitely not an SO.

There was a thread on this a while back, but I can't find it. Quite a few of the lighter colours come with covered locks. But I agree with Anez. My white clemence kelly came with the covered lock- it wasn't a special order. However my covered locks get grubby fast. I generally use a standard palladium lock if I put it on a bag.
