I just bought a monogram tresor wallet. It's a great size and very pretty. The only thing is it doesn't have any credit card slots at all-just pockets. Does anyone own one of these? If so, do any of your credit cards ever fall out when you attempt to turn it to get to the billfold compartment?

For those of you that have the mono porte tresor...
What exactly do you put in that lil pouch in the middle when you open it? Also...can/do you put a ckbk inside?? Or if you can do that does that make the wallet too fat?

I kinda want to get a wallet that fits everything including room for a ckbk. I like the zippy organizer. But was wondering if the mono porte tresor is an option...Thx!:smile1:

I put my change in the little snapped section inside. I don't have my checkbook in the PTI, but Bag Fetish posted a pic of a checkbook in hers. Scroll up in this thread and I provided a link to a previous thread of mine on the PTI.

I read in that thread thru the link you provided that the ckbk (check pad only/just checks) fit in that pocket behind the credit cards. Umm...would the check pad fit...when the wallet is open between the flap on the left, and the little coin pouch...that pocket in between?? Would it fit in there?? (I use carbon copy cks. so it would be just the "actual checks/pad") If so...I'm leaning towards this one instead of the zippy organizer. Not sure though..gotta ck them both out IRL.

I can't envision what you mean by the flap on the left. Do you mean actually put the check pad so that it lays over the coin pouch?

It does all of the things that the LV zip around does, but it is way cheaper, very durable, and so incredibly lightweight. I have one in apple green, picadilly plum and java blue. Tons of card slots and places to put cash, clear ID slot, pen holder, outer coin zipper, and pull out wrist strap. I adore them and highly recommend them to anyone who needs a great zip around wallet but would prefer to spend less. I got all of mine on ebay for less than $30 each.

Edit: I forgot to say that the java blue looks great with LV mono and Damier. It is brown and blue.

I have a Java Blue checkbook cover and I always thought it matched kinda with the LV monogram, too! It is def one of their better designs/colors.

Behind the coin pouch (that pocket). First you see the main flap of the wallet when you open it to the left (when it's laying flat, the part with the button on it that fastens the wallet closed)...then you see the coin pouch. Isn't that a pocket...behind the coin pouch?

Then there's the flap on the actual coin pouch...behind the coin pouch flap where it folds behind that..

See the pic below posted by BagFetish in that other thread: The part where the papers are sticking out (between the main flap cover, and the coin pouch flap opening). Can you fit a checkbook pad (cks only) in there? Sorry...i didn't describe to well in the previous post.:push:

I tried putting the whole check pad in the pocket behind the coin pouch, with no checks hanging out, just tucked in there, and it fit. Since I wasn't sure how you wanted to put them in there, I put the cardboard in the back of the check pad in the pocket and let the checks hang over the coin pouch. That was very awkward. I think you would either have to put the checks in like Bag Fetish showed, or stick the whole pad of checks in the pocket behind the coin pouch. That pocket is where I keep my paper money. One other thing, none of my regular pens will fit in the pen loop, so if you wanted to keep your checkbook in there, you'd need to find a slim pen. Hope this helps!

Helps a lot,Thx!!!!!! :amuse: One more quick question....What about putting the checkpad in the pocket behind the credit cards. The whole thing hidden in that pocket?? So if I needed to write a ck. (which isn't too often) I could pull it out from behind the credit cards (in that pocket). Does it fit there? If so, does it slip in easily (not to tight/awkward)??
