Hi Pollie-Jean, what a nice coat! My first reaction is a solid black or white scarf would be most effortless. If you want to try patterned, I think a soft, subtle, almost washed-out
pattern might complement but not clash with the tweed - a mix of feminine and masculine.

I'll try to find some pics later!

Thank you
My problem is plain or patterned. Patterned could be too much , because of the salt & pepper fabric. If patterned, which sort of ?

Sure - I more familiar with mixing materials but I can see how plain could be on the boring side...if patterned, maybe something color-blocked or for a more traditional look a tartan - there's this pinterest of tweed coats and tartan scarves: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/50876670765067152/

The coat has a small pattern, so a scarf with some of the same colors in a larger pattern should work, as long as the colors look ok together. Or a solid.

Here are the scarves I have that go with my black & white tweed jacket. I don't think this is your style IIRC from the other thread, but you can get an idea of things that could work.

When I tried to put scarves with it that were darker, or had cooler colors or tighter patterns, they did not work out. Bright or light colors in large patterns worked best. Or black.

Gray or muted neutrals might be tougher to work with.

I'd start with the heaviest or biggest one and pull them all out to see what goes. Sorry for the dups - I can't keep up with your scarves!

That's what I thought
Thank you for the link !

I think a bold or gem colored scarf would give it a pop of color. Beautiful coat!
Thank you

How about a burgundy, navy, camel or charcoal gray one?

I really like Burgundy ! I'll try it
Thank you

:smooch: Thanks a lot , Jesssh !!
That's very helpful

I would suggest a colored scarf in your favorite color
Simple but with a spot of color - it can never go wrong.
I would buy something like Burberry's red heritage scarf.
