I often wonder why more scarves don't come with contast hems...who could not love and want them always???
I think this is one of the most profound questions I've heard in a long time. Why don't they, and who could not??

Your post is SO interesting! and you are SO right!... I have always been fascinating with how Disney visualized music into forms and colors that are so matching! As if the musik was composed FOR the pictures.... -Has this childhood impression helped trigger the love for shapes, colors and composition so purely manifested in a Scarf???-![]()
Holsby,
It is such a treat to see your Annie scarves. These are the best of the best. And you look beautiful in them. Thank you!
Holsby, you won't believe this, but I was going to pm you this morning to invite you to post this scarf!!! I remembered you had it, and it's such an uncommon one, I thought it deserved to be seen this week!
Oh, thank you thank you, for all your contributions!!!! You read my mind!!! Wow!!!![]()
I have been keeping track of who has exhibited what this week. In a few cases I know of a person who has a particular scarf who has been MIA on tPF for awhile. I put their name in parenthesis, in hopes they'll reappear and show us their scarves! Please point out any mistakes I've made...
Lanit, I second your suggestion about moving to Clubhouse for Annie's designs, so we can continue to post and view. Her designs are so iconic and she is a legacy designer whose pieces will be revered through the ages.Tango - this week has really been marvelous. I wonder if we could ask the mods to perhaps take our theme week as an Ode to Annie thread in the clubhouse? It would be great to have our tribute in that section of the forum? I love all the photos and details of her silks, and perhaps the greater tpf community could contribute even more of the vintage designs as well?
And to answer your question about what draws me to her designs? I was entranced by her Recontre silk (which I woefully still do not have) and the Grand Fonds because I am a Piscean. But then, seeing her magical use of patterns and complex compositions and intricate details always engages me to see something new each time I see or tie her silks. It took a very long time for me to finally land the GF that I modeled after seeing this special edition on dear Robee. I consolded myself with the pochette version which did not quite satisfy the craving for the 90 detail. I have yet to find the GM version of any of her designs, but hope to one day! What do the scarfies think, ELK, AfdC, LCdA, or any other suggestions please?
Holsby - so great to see your post - elegant as always!
arabesques - STOP THE PRESSES! Your AF ( not the other AF) collection is stunning - and supremely beautiful with your bags! Ms. Baby is truly the perfect companion to the Marwari! And can we please swap scarf drawers because I am eyeing the Kimonos et Imros and the Jardins as my new grails!
Euridice, Wow...gorgeous and unusual colorway!
Lovely shades of spring bue and green! Perfect for this time of the year!
I just composed a list of individual comments and made the mistake of turning a page and BOOM! All was lost!![]()
