Your post is SO interesting! and you are SO right!... I have always been fascinating with how Disney visualized music into forms and colors that are so matching! As if the musik was composed FOR the pictures.... -Has this childhood impression helped trigger the love for shapes, colors and composition so purely manifested in a Scarf???- :graucho:

Also profound! Although not quite as much as the question about contrast hems, IMO. A close second!

See, I told y'all this thread is a path to self-discovery!

Things are gathering pace as more of us are becoming inspired to show our Annie Faivre designs .
I need time to comment individually , that'll be the weekend .
I'm in heaven as more and more divine scarves come out of the closet....
I consider myself so lucky to have found three Annie Faivre 90 cm scarves :

La Legende de l'Arbre in ivory, gold and greens . Cousins with Pierina who has this in blue . This is one to stare at and get lost in all the magic. Yes, my most magical scarf .Looks great with grey in the Spring.

Kimonos et Inros in darkest blue . Twins with Arabesques .
Probably *the most elegant of my scarves , and I still adore this one . I *try to make a bit of an effort with hair and makeup when I don this one .

Le Temps de Marionettes in coral red . My go to scarf for slinging on anytime . Goes with everything. No primping needed, instant makeup and facelift that means a lot

Monkeys ? Maybe on Legende but not on the other two.

I have been keeping track of who has exhibited what this week. In a few cases I know of a person who has a particular scarf who has been MIA on tPF for awhile. I put their name in parenthesis, in hopes they'll reappear and show us their scarves! Please point out any mistakes I've made...

Tango-
You are correct that I do have Alliances du Monde. You can also add the Recontre Ocean I posted on Sunday to your list. And I have two colorways of Tresors Retrouves. Here are some photos from the archive. I will post my taupe Tresors (twins with many of you).

Ladybaga has a Terres Precieuses bracelet.

We haven't seen Les Rivieres de Babel yet, and I think scarfaddict and a few others have that one.

Tango - this week has really been marvelous. I wonder if we could ask the mods to perhaps take our theme week as an Ode to Annie thread in the clubhouse? It would be great to have our tribute in that section of the forum? I love all the photos and details of her silks, and perhaps the greater tpf community could contribute even more of the vintage designs as well?

And to answer your question about what draws me to her designs? I was entranced by her Recontre silk (which I woefully still do not have) and the Grand Fonds because I am a Piscean. But then, seeing her magical use of patterns and complex compositions and intricate details always engages me to see something new each time I see or tie her silks. It took a very long time for me to finally land the GF that I modeled after seeing this special edition on dear Robee. I consolded myself with the pochette version which did not quite satisfy the craving for the 90 detail. I have yet to find the GM version of any of her designs, but hope to one day! What do the scarfies think, ELK, AfdC, LCdA, or any other suggestions please?

Holsby - so great to see your post - elegant as always!:hugs:

arabesques - STOP THE PRESSES! Your AF ( not the other AF) collection is stunning - and supremely beautiful with your bags! Ms. Baby is truly the perfect companion to the Marwari! And can we please swap scarf drawers because I am eyeing the Kimonos et Imros and the Jardins as my new grails!
Lanit, I second your suggestion about moving to Clubhouse for Annie's designs, so we can continue to post and view. Her designs are so iconic and she is a legacy designer whose pieces will be revered through the ages.

Just wanted to pop in to say how beautiful you are all looking! I really enjoyed looking at the Annie treasures and the "off topic" looks of this week. Tango Tosca, thanks for that fabulous chronology of her scarves, it's a valuable reference point.

Keep inspiring!

This is the grail for me...the combination of colors, contrast hem, design. Intentionally saved for the last day of FaivreFestival.

It's my favorite on DW...we have a family pix which was taken in Central Park one Thanksgiving some years ago where she's wearing it under her black Armani (via eBay) cashmere coat. Classic. It would be great as a halter, as a Kelly-esque headwrap with black Wayfarers, or with a simple white t.

Euridice, Wow...gorgeous and unusual colorway!

Lovely shades of spring bue and green! Perfect for this time of the year!

etoile de mer and RoseUSA: Thank you so much! This colorway in this wonderful, precisely detailed Indian design makes my heart sing!

I just composed a list of individual comments and made the mistake of turning a page and BOOM! All was lost! :(

Oh, no! I'm sorry that happened, and it's such a bummer when that happens. I am afraid that the multi-quote is leaving out random quotes I've selected and that I am leaving out posts I need to comment on---tpf is fraught with danger!

First goes Astres et Soleis.
Pictures two and three - are these monkeys?
Fourth picture shows the signature.

Holsby: This is the most awesome scarf! I am not familiar with it, so what a treat!! You look absolutely gorgeous in it, too!

I think those are monkeys, myself.

Pic 1: Marwari (with Box and Toile Bolide)
Pic 2: Jardin d'Hiver
Pic 3: Amours mousseline pochette (with VN Bolide)
Pic 4: two colorways of Kimonos et Inros (with VN Bolide)
Pic 5: Les Ballet Russes (with Black Box Kelly)

Here is where I stopped this morning after gasping and swooning---too much beauty in one post, arabesques! That's a hazard! I also realized that I needed to wait until I had more time so am stealing a lunch break to finish admiring these beauties.

Pic 1:  :woohoo:Fantastic with the Bolide! woo hoo!
Pic 2: gasp! :faint::girlwhack: This is where I needed to administer the smelling salts. The color! The intricacy of beautiful design! What a feast for the eyes, you lucky thang!

Pic 3: whew. Okay. Oh wow, gasp! :faint: this might be my fave of the 4 picks. What a stunningly gorgeous combination with that wonderful bolide. teh color coordination of the cupids (putti?) and the bag, and that big flower---wow.

Pic 4: Beautiful and amazing colorways.
Pic 5: So rich and beautiful!

These and the other pics this morning put me in a state of euphoria!

What a great treat to come back to after a day's work.... well done to everyone. Great to see you chiming in, Holsby, have missed you and your wonderful scarves.

I can contribute a Torana gavroche, Amours jacquard and Les Domes Celestes plisse. I may have to email pictures to someone to get them uploaded though as I still can't post pix from my PC.
