Speaking of finding the monkey, Scarf Addict and Rose, I'm not convinced that there really is a monkey in every single one of Annie Faivre's designs. She has a huge body of work - 46 scarves over 30 years. I'll have to do some more research to verify this, but she might be the most prolific artist Hermes has ever employed.

I would be curious to know when she began adding her signature monkey to her designs. I wonder if that was something she did occasionally since the beginning of her career, or if it was something she adopted in the last 10 - 15 years. Maybe if we pool our collective resources, we can account for all those that exist?

WOHOO for monkey finding week! :graucho:

Here I have an Etendards et Bannieres worn two different styles, showing different facets of colors and patterns - artful design that Faivre does so beautifully!

I also enjoyed finding the mystery monkeys. The two "possible" monkey symbols I found are shown. What do you think? Both are monkeys?

I would call the first pic a monkey, because I can see the tail. The second picture looks more feline to me. Anybody else see that? :thinkin:

Wow Tango! Thank you so much for doing this. Awesome. I feel like Annie week is a sort of a holiday that can only be celebrated with special friends. Looking down the list I can't help but think of all the twins and cousins that will be reunited. This is going to be a terrific week!

Congrats sparkles! I know exactly how you feel about your first schawl. It is fantastic. Really beautiful color way and a perfect match for your gorgeous bag. I am so happy for you

My Silkie Friends, I posted a reveal of a Birthday Bash this weekend, but I had to share something personal with my scarf friends. No one in my life wears scarves, and if they do, they cost $19.99 (no snooty judgment here--just trying to help you understand)and no one knows what Hermes scarves are and just how important they have become to me so who can I share my excitement with? YOU! This birthday weekend, I picked out my first SHAWL. I kept thinking of you all!!

I spent quite a bit of time at the scarf counter with a fun, odd woman who was also buying a shawl. She loved the Feline scarf and had a few cws in her pile. For an animal lover, you would think that this shawl would rock my world. Nope. Didn't do anything for me. Then, the Kimonos scarf?? The one that many of you swoon for?? The lime green wasn't working for me in the particular cw I was trying on, and I was feeling so disappointed. Au Fil du Carre wasn't working either.. My stranger friend had on a lovely piece draped over her shoulders--nothing fancy, but she said, honey, try on this one. To be nice I did and that was history. I don't own any "horse-ish" scarves and to fall in love with this one is so unpredictable to me. But on, it took my breath away. Crazy. It came home with me. A perfect neutral! I am so excited: my sa said these were addictive. I'm scared.

Thank you for letting me digress from Annie week with my first shawl! Mors a Jouets. (and my new bag!)

The new thread really took off! So many familiar (but not less breathtaking) beauties and new to me designs and mystery knots.

TangoTosca, what a list. Collecting all Annie Faivre scarves would probably take a lifetime, and just typing it up would have given me scarf-buying cravings.

Theme of the week: these are archive photos of Amours in aqua/burnt orange.

Monkeyface (it took ten minutes of us crawling on our knees around the scarf to find it):

I also have an Astres et soleils finesse, and I will be off on the monkey treasure hunt tomorrow!

Oh, wow, that one is *so* difficult to spot! You must have been cross-eyed by the time you found that little guy! :weird:

You look so precious in that outfit, Bondgirl, I adore the hat.

Good luck with AetA; with that being a finesse, I'm sure it'll be even harder to find him...

Euridice - it's nice to see some neutrals - you look great in it and I like the dark blue top with such an interesting neckline detail!

My final red week silk - Les Crayons, and moving right into Faivre week, Reve de Corail - what a masterpiece she created last year. I wish I had snapped up a few colorways of this design! As it so happens, DD is born year of the Monkey, so I adore Faivre's monkeys!

Thank you Lanit! Wow, beautiful finale for red week, but your Reve de Corail is just STUNNING! You look amazing in it, and a great start for AF week!!!

...just got my hands on my first giant silk twill. Psyche. From last season, I think, and it's JUST hitting the stores. H is hopelessly behind. I decided on this instead of the Ex Libris cashmere shawl because the CWs it comes in is toxic on me. Pity. I love those cashmeres...but silk will do just fine.

This Psyche is a lovely neutral design - I've been lusting for it for a while. I love the fact that the CW (No.3) is Etoupe/Noir/Vert...the Etoupe background is almost pearlescent. It reflects light beautifully (although looks pinkish in the photo below d/t overhead lighting)...

Just yummy!

Keep those looks coming, ladies! Although I'm MIA and can't really chat - you do inspire me every day!

Congratulations!! You are gorgeous in your new Psyche! I saw that one in person late autumnish, and it is an amazing colorway. And, the design is so dynamic and wearable!!

Just a quick post: - one more red - here is my finale - Printemps Ete 69 Automne Hiver 70 in red.

Gorgeous!! You are a master at using scarf rings, I need to get one....

Since I had nothing to contribute for RED week I am looking forward to Annie week. I am going to start with a couple of absolute favorites. But it is actually kind of hard to choose since I absolutely adore all Annie Faivre designs.

Here is Recontre Ocean in Aqua:

Wow, you have really gotten things started with a BANG!! All of your Annie Faivre are just to die for. The Domes in aubergine is fabulously stunning on you. So much beauty in your collection!

Hello! May I join in the fun?
I've been enjoying this thread for a while, and do love popping in to see your beauties!
I don't wear much red, but do have some small, silky, late contributions for this week.
I'm wearing two Ex-Libris en Camouflage Twillys, and each has a bit of red!

I love the way you wear two twillies, very lovely look that adds a nice pop to your outfit.

Euridice, your PaP in brown is lovely. I've been hoping to find some monochromatic scarves as well, but haven't seen any on eBay that I liked. Will look in my boutique the next time I go. I like some of the Tresors Retrouves.

Thank you! I agree Tresors is great for monochromatic.

Euridice, I always enjoy seeing another LaFemme colorway. The yellow is lovely with the grey. And your Cezanne! What a beauty! I'd never seen this one before. Love it. And, congrats on your DS. The BE is really a wonderful color. It seems to me you have a great H collection.

Thank you, Metzfan!

Euridice: What a beautiful colors your Cezanne scarf! Cezanne is my most favorite painter, so I wanted this design… maybe someday? I love so much how you coordinated your Pegasus with your green sweater and your yellow LFASDV is a grail scarf for me too!

Thank you so much, IrisJ!!

Oh wow!! You are super chic in your CenC!!! And equally so in my personal favorite La Charmante!!

Euridice: congratulations on the Double Sens.

Bienchen, thank you so much! Your Grand Fonds II is amazing on you!! And looks comfy, too!

Euridice - I am so glad you are posting your scarves and love the brown PauP with the blue top.

Thanks, Maedi!!

Euridice - oh how I love La Femme - I don't have your cw but they are all TDF! Your APdP is lovely too:tup:

Today I wore L'Ivresse d'Inifi again but with my cerise cardigan this time - this brings out the pink hues in the design.

There must be a limit on the multiple quote feature, this got chopped off my quotes, and I can't have that! Thanks so much; ScarfAddict! And, I enjoyed going back and comparing your Ivresse with the different color cardigans, it's just gorgeous!!

Euridice, I had not thought of brown pairing with navy until seeing your post of Port au Palais. I love how classy and elegant it looks! Thank you for the great idea!

RoseUSA: Thank you! I like pairing brown and blue, I've kind of gotten into that combo recently.

Wow, love your Etendards et Bannieres! Especially love the way you tied it. Those look enough like monkeys to me!

WOW!! That is a beautiful shawl, congrats on getting your first shawl. I love your story of how you picked it out. Sometimes it's the things we least expect that turn out to be the most special, like this particular shawl for you. I need to go back to your reveal and finish drooling over your whole birthday treasure trove!

Wow Tango! Thank you so much for doing this. Awesome. I feel like Annie week is a sort of a holiday that can only be celebrated with special friends. Looking down the list I can't help but think of all the twins and cousins that will be reunited. This is going to be a terrific week!

I agree it's going to be a terrific week! I can't wait to see the rest of the parade of Annie Faivre beauties!

Thanks also, Tango for the list. I was thinking it would be great to see a list, then voila, you posted one!! And, what fun, a monkey hunt!!!

Awesome!! LOVE that with your hat!! But I don't see the monkey....???

It was a bit milder this weekend, so I was able to throw on a Brazil stole when out running some errands. It's got a red border, so it's my last hurrah for red week, lol!! :p And, you can see I obey the seatbelt laws, lol!

TT, that's quite a list. I see several that I have looked at and considered buying. She really is quite an artist. As for the monkey, I think I've found it on L'Atlantide.
