Been trawling the archive for something Annie Faivre and have discovered that I have got a few of her designs.

Here's Grand Fonds II, will try to take some new pictures from my other treasures later this week.

Have a good w/end.

So, I just realized that today is Sunday, not yesterday. DH took Friday off, and I have been lost in the week ever since. My apologies for cutting Red Week short a day! :noggin:

What a great mix of Annie Faivre and red...

etoile de mer - welcome to the Scarf of the Day! I've seen one twilly worn that way frequently, but wearing two at one time gives it a new dimension. Great idea, and beautiful colors on you.

JulianF - Oh my goodness, what an incredible design. I've never seen Psyche. I didn't know Psyche existed. What a beautiful quilt-like pattern. Wow. Congratulations!!

Bienchen - I know you said that this picture of your beautiful Grands Fonds II is from the archives. Does that suggest that it's already too hot for cashmere shawls in England?

IrisJ - Looks like your blog is off to a great start. I really like how your orange belt picks up the orange in Carre en Carre and the pop art colors of La Charmante aux Animaux are, well, charming!

Fritillary - You are kicking off Annie Faivre week with some real winners. Jardins d'Hiver is not one that turns up too often on tPF, so it's a treat to see it tied in so many different ways and I am Recontre Ocean cousins with you; I have the lilac. It's such a lovely scarf.

Scarf Addict - I knew Red week couldn't be over with seeing you wearing your red Printemps. That design has turned out to be one of best-loved 70cms for scarf lovers, hasn't it?

Lanit - Oh, the red coral became *the* colorway of Reve de Corail. Like you, I wish I had picked up more than one cw...

Ladybaga - I'm so glad you're feeling better. Your new Les Mustangs was the perfect pick-me-up, wasn't it? Who could resist a horse like "Red" LOL

Nefredity - My, my, my. Congratulations on your incredible Brides de Gala shawl. What a remarkable piece of art.

Sparklelisab - Thank you for sharing that marvelous picture of you and your darling Chevre. You are a treasure

Many thanks to Frou Frou, MetzFan, Iris, Bienchen, La Vie en Rose, and Tango for your kind comments on my Jardins d'Hiver and Recontre Oceane.

Here is an Annie Scarf that I do not wear very often. It is one of those scarves that looks completely different when tied in different directions. I like to wear it with the pinks and lavenders showing (as in the first photo). But I actually think the oranges and golds are the more beautiful colors in this scarf. I would love to see other colorways modeled because I think this is one of the best Annie scarves. Here is Les Domes Celestes in Aubergine:

Julian F, I love your Psyche and had thought about getting it because of the sea green in it. I wasn't quite sure how to wear it because it's pretty big, so any further modeling pix you supply will be welcomed. It's a very sophisticated cw and look.

Thank you all, for the sweet words on my obsession with red!

Bienchen, I have never seen Grand Fonds in green/olive, it is very flattering on you with your gorgeous red hair!
Fritillary, Ann scarf certainly has that multi-faceted look characteristic. Your Les Domes Celestes indeed is a perfect and beautiful example! The Etendards et Bannieres I post here also looks different in different style. Your Recontre Ocean and Jardins d'Hiver are so lovely too! I wish I can wear pastel colorways as well as you do!
Etoile de mer, Welcome! Thank you for sharing yout EX-libris twilly! Perfect accesory for the sweater you had on.
Iris, Wow is what I thought when I saw your carre en carre. WHat a fabulous print and mesmerizing effect it has on you. Your La Charmante aux Animaux is a cashmere GM right? Love that color! I am still trying to figure out how to wear GM as elegantly as you all do!
Lanit, your orangish red and red scarves are TDF on you. I especially love how the red border accenting the Reve de Corail so cleverly. Just beautiful!
Julian, Your Psyche has so much elegance and elegance at the same time. It is perfect on you!
Scarf Addict, Happy red scarf on happy read sweater is so you. I bet you were in joyful mood all day wearing this vibrant outfit.
Teha, You are so adorable in pink, and love the other photos on your blog too!
Hermesguy, You look sleek as always!
Euridice, I had not thought of brown pairing with navy until seeing your post of Port au Palais. I love how classy and elegant it looks! Thank you for the great idea!
Ladybaga, I LOVE your Les Mustangs with blue border. It synergizes with the energy of the horse flow on the scarf so well! Wearing a simple white top like you did brings its "spirit" out so beautifully. AND I love your baby horse "Red"~ :)
Sparklelisab, What is the name of that lovely orange scarf you showed on post #193?

WOHOO for monkey finding week! :graucho:

Here I have an Etendards et Bannieres worn two different styles, showing different facets of colors and patterns - artful design that Faivre does so beautifully!

I also enjoyed finding the mystery monkeys. The two "possible" monkey symbols I found are shown. What do you think? Both are monkeys?

Hey you!

Don't you know it's time to MONKEY AROUND??

That's right, get ready to show off those hidden simians because this week we celebrate the Art of Annie Faivre!!

This is Stunning! I just let out a gasp, and that means THIS beauty goes on my list. Lala has one that I saw and died over, but this cw is tremendous. Thank you for sharing!

Sparklelisab, What is the name of that lovely orange scarf you showed on post #193?

Rose: this is my new and only dip dye 90 Pavois--I think that's how it is spelled. Several other cws but if you can wear yellow and orange, this is a must! Love your posts of Annie!

My Silkie Friends, I posted a reveal of a Birthday Bash this weekend, but I had to share something personal with my scarf friends. No one in my life wears scarves, and if they do, they cost $19.99 (no snooty judgment here--just trying to help you understand)and no one knows what Hermes scarves are and just how important they have become to me so who can I share my excitement with? YOU! This birthday weekend, I picked out my first SHAWL. I kept thinking of you all!!

I spent quite a bit of time at the scarf counter with a fun, odd woman who was also buying a shawl. She loved the Feline scarf and had a few cws in her pile. For an animal lover, you would think that this shawl would rock my world. Nope. Didn't do anything for me. Then, the Kimonos scarf?? The one that many of you swoon for?? The lime green wasn't working for me in the particular cw I was trying on, and I was feeling so disappointed. Au Fil du Carre wasn't working either.. My stranger friend had on a lovely piece draped over her shoulders--nothing fancy, but she said, honey, try on this one. To be nice I did and that was history. I don't own any "horse-ish" scarves and to fall in love with this one is so unpredictable to me. But on, it took my breath away. Crazy. It came home with me. A perfect neutral! I am so excited: my sa said these were addictive. I'm scared.

Thank you for letting me digress from Annie week with my first shawl! Mors a Jouets. (and my new bag!)

YESSSSS!!! :woohoo:

Your scarf friends are elated for you! I loved your reveal! Your new treasures are amazing, Sparkles, and I am just delighted for you. I can't wait to see more modeling pics!

Just don't let Miss Chevre get anywhere near your new goodies! LOL!! Munch munch munch :snack:

You need to change that, my friend, because this scarf is incredibly stunning and looks fantastic on you. That beauty has no business languishing in your closet. You have a grail scarf! Woo hoo for you!!! :woohoo:

Except for the whole bug thing, our taste in scarves are remarkably similar :p. I think you have a really great collection, Fritillary.
