My 'source' says: Scarfie data bases call it beige/ochre/grey. The scarf is called Bal de Bulles, and it was designed by Dimitri Rybaltchenko in 2003.

I love this, Rileygirl! You wear everything beautifully! And, you've made me a horn convert!

DiamondS, I love your Kantha shawl! That was one of my favorite designs from 2008.

LaBoheme, your L'Atlantide is a good way to brighten up a dreary day! (And I saw your Lalbhai shawl in another thread...OMG, it is so gorgeous, that green color is amazing!)

MaggieD, I would love to see your Peuple du Vent plisse in action--I am looking forward to seeing that scarf in person, it's one of my favorites from the new season...I'm sure it's great in a plisse!

LinaFIN, you are getting your money's worth out of your horn scarf ring! I love mine but I haven't experimented with it as much as you have...you've inspired me to try some new ways of wearing it.

MaiTai, funny thing--I just had my teeth cleaned last week! Usually there are more coffee stains...

Rose, as always you wear plisses so beautifully. I feel like I can only really tie mine one (very boring) way, but yours always look so different and elegant.

irishlass, hooray for your TPF benefactor, and wow, you are a natural scarfie! (And how can you wear it as a belt with so much left over?)

rileygirl, my TB twin! The whole ensemble with your TB is lovely, and I love your horn necklace.

hair-mess, gorgeous scarf! I still haven't tried the vintage size yet, but I love how it ties.

Capulet, I have it as a belt in one other pic but the one with all the material that you're probably talking about: you tie 2 ends together like an apron (looks like a long skirt or a swimsuit coverup) but to the side then slide a scarf ring (part of a loop necklace in my case) all the way up.

Excuse the sloppy jeans...

^Great idea, Irishlass! And I'm glad I'm not the only one posting multiple playtime pics :) The scarf looks great on you!

Thank you ms piggy, MaiTai, Rose, MiaT, mavsun and capulet for your nice comments! And also ms piggy for giving me the correct name for the scarf.

Rose - you look very chic and I love how you always find the perfect scarf to honor the day, whatever it is!

hair-mess - that scarf is beautiful and using that ring as a scarf ring is a great idea! I'll have to see what I can find in my jewerly box.

rileygirl - wow! I love how coordinated your whole outfit and make-up is. Beautiful!

It's all MsPiggy's fault. I've drooled over how chic everyone looks in their beautiful scarves and shawls for a long time, but never had any thought of actually getting one. I am scarf challenged. Then I saw MsPiggy in that lovely Burgundy dress with the Legende Moghole and I was a goner. That was only a few weeks ago.

I guess I could give some of the blame to Brennamom - recently bitten as well - for encouraging me and pointing out on-line finds. So far, I haven't succumbed, but there's a Scotland one that is softly calling out to me. I guess if it starts screaming, I will give in. But I am trying to do the LaVan shop-your-own-closet thing!
