First SOTD for 2009 - Toile de Hermes mousseline stole in Rouge H.

I must apologised to the long time followers of this thread, I think I did the same scarf with the same dress, same shoes and even the same pose in the same place sometime in 2008. :push:

Note to self, must be more creative moving forward. I think I'm taking the shopping in own closet too literally...

Ms Piggy - if it works - stick with it! You cannot go wrong with this one.

Truly, the outfit looks great on you, and the mousseline stole is lovely. So soft looking!

Ms Piggy: You look amazing! I love the clean lines of your dress with the simple colors of the mousseline. I completely understand of wearing EXACTLY the same outfit over and over again too. I am a black outfit person and I, too, have 5 black turtle neck shirt, 2 black skirts, three pairs of EXACTLY the same jeans in the same color, different sizes. So yeah, completely hear you!

Thank you ladies!!

xiaoxiao, I totally hear you on wearing black (one of the hazards of working in the banking industry, sombre colours). It's so easy to just grab black when you're in a hurry LOL!

The sandals, ah! Giuseppe Zanotti - and I must show you gals the heels! Love it!!

Thank you to: Mavsun, Diva999, Bijouxlady, Raz, Crochetbella, MaiTai, lilyhermes and dogbiskit for the sweet comments and enabling. I think I am back to the silks after a brief hiatus!

Ms Piggy--Love your stole and the saxy shoes! Wowza! Just the shoes will get you a lot more Hermes! lol Gotta love black--so easy to match and everything pops against it.

Yesterday after work I drove into the city to collect something I had put on hold a few days ago. I tried on two different colorways and came home with this one. The other was a stunning orange that I may have to go back for once I have money again.

Anyway, I picked up the goodie and drove back home intending to sneak in with my purchase. Unfortunately there was a hole in the freeway and two lanes were closed so a 45 minutes drive ended up taking 2 hours. So much for a discreet purchase!

Passage de Tokyo GM Mousseline--my first and def. not my last. Thank you all for enabling me here and in the Ode thread. If you haven't tried one on yet, do so but prepared to drop some moolah!

I have a quirky style so the soft chiffon is contrasted with an all black ensemble including a black leather jacket.

ms piggy, if an outfit works it's worth repeating! You look fabulous! (And I love the sandals--wish I could pull off that sort of thing!)

rileygirl, I'm so excited for your first mousseline! You look gorgeous, as always, and I love your quirky style!

Ms Piggy - The sandals looked beautiful in your modeling shot, but now to see the detail - wow!

RileyGirl - congratulations! It looks great against the black leather.

At least when we wear all black:
- even a simple pattern in a scarf stands out.
- makes packing a snap!
- it's easier to get away with perhaps being over dressed or underdressed
- and most importantly...any scarf, shawl, or mousseline will look great!
