i cannot close one of my constance bags easily. it bugs the heck out of me because it takes several tries. i wonder if my fingers are slow or the bag is defective...it is a small issue though, it does snap close but sometimes it takes a few tries.

You know, you may have something there. I tried it and it does make it a little less time consuming. It does stay closed without the belt due to the slots being such a tight fit. Without the belt I have to take the flap out of the slots one by one and after doing that I have to pull the flap over the large rings one by one because they do not go over on their own. Then the bag is open. I'm attaching a photo so you can see what I'm trying to say (I know I'm not explaining it very well). It is still a lot to do but without the belt it really makes a world of difference. Hey, you're pretty good there, Sonmi999!!! You get a star for the day!!!!! :smartass::smartass::smartass:

Try going out with the bag like this! It still seems to be kind of a hassle, but less than with the belt ;) Happy to help!

The Coach Swagger. I never liked the zipper. It didn’t cover the top entirely. If you unzipped it all the way the zipper separated entirely into 2 parts. Then, to rezip you had to put the bag down on something and use both hands to hold the ends together and zip the bag. If you unzipped it part way, you didn’t have adequate access inside the bag. There were times I gave up bothering and carried it unzipped.

After using the bag several times the real fun began. The strap attached to the bag with clips (I don’t know what the official name is for them) that were different from dog leash clips. The clips started randomly giving way after I picked it up, causing the bag to fall to the ground. This was especially bad when I was resorting to carrying it unzipped and the bag and it’s contents ended up on the pavement.

Several posters on the Coach forum had the same problem. Some reported success adding a pair of O rings. At least one suggested that we might not be picking the bag up correctly(!) Being too old to learn new ways of picking up a bag, I tried the O rings and .... crash.

I sent the bag to the Goodwill. I hope if someone bought it they don’t mind carrying it by the handles.

LV VERNIS

When older LV vernis changed color. My baby blue turned green. My beige turned yellow. Im glad the new ones are doing great. [emoji4] my red and violet are still the same color.

I know this is an older thread, but like to know if anyone has taken to LV boutiques to see if they can do anything about it?!
When you refer to new ones are doing great, about how old are the new ones? Is there a particular model we should stay away? TIA

I've blocked out the company name, but once, 20 years ago, it was spring and the sun had come out and I was just a tiny bit manic... and I went into Nordstrom and bought a white clutch/wallet+chain-thing with a beautiful pink and aqua floral pattern. It was $200, which was a huge price for me at the time.

First, the magnetic closure demagnetized all my credit and bank cards.

Then, the lovely pink and aqua started bleeding all over the white leather. Since up to that point I wore only black, I had never expected such a thing. I assumed this was an easy fix/replacement and took it back to Nordstrom, where they told me it was my fault and that I shouldn't have gotten it wet. In Seattle.

They refused to clean or return it, and sold me leather cleaner which did nothing. I think Goodwill ended up with it a week later.

I think there is a lesson in this thread. To me it shows that nearly all of the designers at one time or the other puts out a product that is not perfect. So if one decides to never purchase from that designer again and moves on to another....well I think you see where I am going.

I would definitely say my LV mini back pack! The parts where it holds the d rings of the bag where the straps are suppose to go; the glazing is coming off and showing little hairs on the sides and this is the second bag I replaced already! I’m dissatisfied with LV lately.
