Which handbag have you gotten the most compliments on?

No one. My friends IRL have no idea.
I live in a neighborhood where there are lots of premier brands.
someone in the airport once complimented my chanel bc she thought it was a YSL. Not sure that counts but i said thanks

Definitely my Chanel Boy Bag with ruthenium hardware. Don’t know why, people seem to agree that the bag works for me

Your bag is gorgeous! I saw a multicolor sequined chanel flap at 57th st this year for 18K USD. (I was not in the market for one; my SA just pulled it down from the shelf out of curiosity)

They certainly aren’t inexpensive options.
But so worth the price !

From what I noticed many of them are 30-50 percent premium over the caviar leather option.

Seems a bit counter intuitive but they had me at the glitter finish.

The one comment that resonates though was “nice leather bag” compliment when I was carrying my black Bal Weekender. My coworker noticed the leather (and size!), so I thanked her and sheepishly replied it’s vintage.

Honestly it's my Givenchy GV3 limited edition fringe in goatskin.

I think it's the studs on the fringes. It really stands out!

It's very much 3-way close-run thing between a Gucci Bamboo Top-handle, Gunmetal intrecciato TM-era Cervo Hobo (haven't worn that much this year, but I've often used it all Summer long) and surprisingly, my Bambou GP Garden Party, I suppose because of the colour and lining-print. I guess it's interesting that all of these bags have no obvious logos or sig-prints to alert people to their 'birthplace' so I feel the compliments are entirely earned (by the bag).

Interesting point: In Hermes, my Gucci Bamboo Top-handle gets admired at every turn by SAs and even customers, while at at Gucci any Hermes bag I'm carrying.

As someone said before, the absence of logos makes me feel the compliments are sincere.
I think the funniest moment was at H, when I was trying a bag in front of a mirror I could see a SA doing his best to read the faded Gucci stamp from afar, instead of just asking
