Dearest MaiTai has posted the new knotting scarves, and here are the DD's for those who are already and yet to be under their spell! Thanks again MaiTai!

Pierina-I love that little bit of olive green-it makes the coloring of the dip dye unexpected. You will find this such a comfortable finish-it is definitely a go-to scarf for all days. Perhaps a new bag is another possibility! Ah, the things we do as mothers to celebrate our daughters first foray into the H world I just ordered my dd who is seventeen a pochette and let her borrow my twillies. She wanted the thrill of opening her own little orange box. She will be headed to college in the fall! :amuse: P.S. Thank you so much for posting MT's knotting cards-they are very helpful to me as GM size is new for me!

Hello ladies,

Here's BdG GM Dip Dye in pale blue, which I got just last month on the very same day that my store received it. Super-soft and flattering!

Markova, I don't know where you are located. Did you get this in the U.S. or Europe or elsewhere? Also, can you provide me with an item number? Thank you.

Hi sdsurfchick, I'm in Europe and this is what's on my receipt:

CARRE GEANT SURTEINT/DIP DYE 140CMS 100% SOIE BRIDES
BLEU CIEL/GRIS
131266S 02

I believe the pale pink on I looked at was 01 (correct me if I'm wrong!)

I was never really a fan of BdG and didn't love the 90cm DD, but I DO love the 140cm! I put one on and realized it is a beautiful, shimmery, versatile, soft and buttery shawl, perfect for evening or dressing up a coat! Now, I just have to figure out the right color for me....has anyone gotten the green/turquoise one yet? I have one on hold to pick up but would love to see some photos first.....TIA!

I have the greeny one: Here u go. it's gorgeous.

hermesmonkey and anyone else who already owns one, would you share re how it wears ... does it wrinkle or crease very easily? I presume it doesn't pull because the fibers aren't loose. What about the "glow" factor (Rose doesn't let me say sweat). I don't do well with mousseline because my glow is noticeable from across the street. Any complaints about the DD and glow? Anything else different or noteworthy? I think may be a great alternative to C/S GM for a while. Thanks!

Hmmm... I've forgotten which season I am. I have my dark hair streaked blond and my skin is pale with olive undertones.

The sky blue/grey DD is definitely icey/cool. It also has gold and olive highlights which are very subtle.

It doesn't seem to wrinkle much, but I'm pretty meticulous about hanging up or folding my scarves after I take them off.

The silk feels really plush - almost like the cashmere GMs but cool to the touch, if that makes sense. I bought it specifically to wear on "glowing" skin in the summer - for days when there's too much "glow" for a mousseline!

Hope you get one!

Markova, would you describe your DD colors as icey/cool? I am a "winter" with dark skin, eyes and hair and can't wear warm/dusty colors. Thanks.

^^ For the most part I would agree - but the magic for me with H is that the colouring is multi-dimensional and chameleon in nature. This seems never more true than with the dip dye process - regular twills are more wysiwyg (what you see . . .) - while the dd appear more adaptive to lighting conditions and reflecting surrounding hues. Yes, it makes it more difficult to pin down shades, but IMHO clearly adds to its intrigue and beauty. (Gosh that was a good glass of claret! :p)

Quite true, and so poetic!
