Your Brides de Gala Silky City is just beautiful; I spotted this on h.com a couple of weeks' ago and liked it immediately, but seeing you modelling it and being able to get a proper perspective of it's size etc. is just making me think that I want-it-need-it
It's simply stunning!

Could I ask a favour please, just how much can you fit into this size (did you say it was PM) without it looking "too stuffed", as I can imagine that it would spoil the look of it, if you put too much in it ?
TIA

:smile1:

Ah, thank you, that's really kind of you, great idea too!
Will look forward to it. Is yours a PM ? To be honest, I didn't realise that they were made in different sizes!

Thanks so much pamella, kaban and lanit!

pamella, are you looking for a 140 to go with blue jeans, or to go with H's blue jean leather? This colorway 07 has a faint periwinkle overtone that is good with my blue jeans and with navy, but it is not good with blue jean or ciel leather - it makes the leather look greenish.

lanit, I admired your violet one very much, have you had a chance to wear it yet??

Pierina- I really thank you for telling me this, I was thinking of Blue Jean leather. Could
not tell this from the pic! Now, I just can't get T.T.'s Silky City out of my mind!!

Pierina-Yes-quite a bit (indoors), and a few evenings when it has been clear weather, :amuse:and my 17 yo DD is whining to borrow it every day. I haven't yet mustered the courage to do so, since teenagers are so careless with things, but I promised her she will one day inherit my little collection!
xxxxxxx
please read our rules

pamella, the silky city is very cute indeed!

here's a quick picture of the #07 dip dye 140 with blue jean clemence leather. the dip dye is not quite this periwinkle in real life, but doesn't look any better with the bag in real life either...

lanit, I can see why she'd want to borrow it, it's lovely! I 'lost' a blue cashmere GM to my daughter that way, but I was willing and she's 22 now. isn't it wonderful how H transcends generations?

OMG Pierina-'Lost' a GM??!!! That must have set back some allowance for a while! The blue is stunning in your photo-is it green on the stirrups/center accents or golden? Mine is bordering on an olive gold against the violet. I think the dip dye looks great with the bag, but then again, I am not one to match things up! The look has an ethereal quality and works with a lot of color ranges...wishing again that I could wear that shade! You are so very lucky...!:balloon:

Well, lanitperhaps lost was not quite the correct word! It was Christmas, I had gotten the shawl for a bargain price because it was slightly damaged, it was freezing cold, she borrowed it and it looked much better on her. And I have it in the turquoise which suits me to a tee. She has a real job in NYC now and it was her first and only H shawl. A wonderful moment for both of us.

You have keen eyes, there is olive green shading in the golden decorations on the bridlework, as well as graphite accents on the leather. I'm not such a fan of matching, but in real life these colors make eachother look worse, not better.

Hey, I'd love to be able to wear your Dip Dye! There's something for everyone, you know.
