Which Cartier Santos? Please help!

Late reply here, but i have a similar model to the left one - i have the 2000 women's santos automatic with the retired sunburst face. Not sure if this face is the sunburst too, but it can be hard to read the time sometimes with silver #s on silver. I love the black #s on white - wish they had that option when i got my watch in 2000! There is an upside to an automatic, though, as the back never has to be opened.

Thank you for sharing your experience, dear! Yes the one on the left has sunburst face. I don't mind it at all. But I don't particular like the additional row of numbers for seconds. It makes the face really busy.

This watch will be in rotation with my Rolex which I wear more on a daily basis. This one will be a more off-duty throw around watch.

Wow what a rip off. Are you sure that's not service + battery? I can't imagine it cost that much just to change battery. I will use a local jeweller for sure.

Yes, supposedly they 'clean' the watch too. I say that with quotes because I doubt that's what's happening. How could a 2 year old watch need cleaning? And it supposedly needed cleaning after the first 2 2 year spans. I only wear the watch occasionally, so 95% of the time it's sitting in a dust-free safe. At least it motivated me to pull out the stem when I'm not wearing it to disengage the battery.
