Well, not only am I drawn to a certain type of bag, I am drawn to the same bag. Over and over and over x 17. :laugh::laugh:
I believe if you find something that works, the more the merrier!
So obviously I am drawn to a combo shoulder/handheld satchel.
(these all have chain shoulder straps, but I take it off when storing them and was too lazy to put all the chains on when I took the pic)

Hello Nascar Fan,

First of all, nice to see a familiar name. Secondly, that is a LOT of Stams. Haha. I see a few reds. Love red. Love your Stams. I don't have one. Keep putting off buying it.
Appreciate the reveal. First for this thread. I would like to show mine but I have only a few in the new house(just moved) while the rest are still at my parents place.
But I have a thing for top handles. Very inconvenient. Can only carry at the nook of the arm and hand carry. LV Alma, YSL bowler, Jimmy Choo Mahala, Loewe Amazona, YSL Muse are all top handles. Looking forward to Lady Dior one day.

OMG! That's a lot of Stams, now I completely understand your surprise that it was one of my regret purchases. Guess I just wasn't lucky with the Stam!

LOL! But ... the reds are so different. :laugh: (I did sell one of the reds, though.)
I would love to have a Lady Dior one day too. They are very pretty.

The ones they make now are so much lighter than the one you had. Maybe that would have made a difference for you.
Yeah, now you can see why I was sorry to see a Stam in the unwanted pile. :amuse:

The ones they make now are so much lighter than the one you had. Maybe that would have made a difference for you.

You are right the heaviness was an issue for me as well as for the Paddigtons. But what bugged me the most is how the quilts started to loose the puffiness. Something I haven't experienced with Chanel. This is what I'm talking about...

i see what you are talking about. is that one called the elastic stam?
i wouldnt like that either. did you buy it new?
i think there was one made called the elastic stam and it looked that way.
i havent had any do that.

No I don't think it is called the elastic bag! Yes bought it new and it didn't look that way when I first got it but after awhile it started to crunch or something! Like the leather creased. Probably I just got unlucky:) but I know so many people who love their Stams and didn't have an issue like that with them

And pardon I just found out that yes it was called the elastic Stam! Yet it wasn't in this shape when it was new!

For type, cross body bag. For brand, it used to be Balenciaga, but after 20 bags and same old color, my interest die down a bit. Now, it's Chanel and my wanderer eyes start to go to Dior. :)

I'm drawn to either saddlebag shaped medium flap cross bodies (hate zippers, never use them except on luggage) or top handle doctor satchels with detachable strap. The top handles have to be connected by rings and fold down though - I hate the ones that stay upright since it becomes hard to navigate the opening.

Hobos are nice if you need to pack a lot in and put down the bag now and then, but after a while my shoulder starts hurting. Shoulder bags don't work so well for me since I've got the smallest shoulders and straps don't stay on well. Plus when I'm out I want my hands free to do things and to read a book on transit. I never have that many things so a small to medium bag works. I wouldn't want to carry a huge bag as a crossbody.

I love the look of messenger bags but I'm too petite for most of them.
