strap+ handles! one long strap plus two smaller handles. i like having options! the bags i gravitate to all the time are like these in my collection - Balenciaga City, LV Palermo PM, Alexander Wang Rocco...they're all this style.

Yes I love those. Especially Balenciaga City which is on my wanted list. LV Palermo is nice. But sorry not a fan of A. Wang Rocco. I prefer Wang's Emile tote. Also with a long strap and two short handles. Thanks for the feedback.

Always tote! I have several Birkins and they are all totes! I always seems to be drawn to tote bags due to its ability to "carry it all". But lately I have been downsizing and purchased smaller bags with shoulder strap. But ultimately I am a tote girl!

Thanks for the info. I'm sorry I don't have a birkin and never knew that it was a tote. I keep seeing people carry them on the nook of their arm. So i thought it was more of a top handle. But the shape is of a tote. So now I know.
Yeah totes can carry everything. People always say that my bag weighs a ton. Haha. Starting to like big bags as I get older. But I do love envelope clutches. Something for evening but also carry a lot.

I have all structured shoulder bags and one hobo with a long shoulder strap.
I've realized I have a harder time getting things accomplished out in the world if I don't have my hands free.

I agree. I'm a mother of 2 and messenger bags are like made for mothers. Haha. Thinking of getting a messenger from Balenciaga but my heart won't go for it cos its set on the City. I have more top handles in my collection.

I don't have a favorite style; it all depends on my needs for the day. Sometimes it's a tote, sometimes, a satchel, and other imes a crossbody or hobo!

I have a few style of bags too in my collection. But I have to say that I have more top handles than totes, hobos and clutches. And when I go shopping for bags, my eyes seem to look for top handles instead of others. I don't know. Satchels are nice especially the emergence of Proenza Schouler's PS1. I'd probably rock the bag now in my 30's but not so sure when I'm older.

I prefer shoulder bags, somewhat unstructured but not a puddle of leather..

Unstructured shoulder bags usually lean towards hobo right? But hobos have a moon shape. Oh but Stella Mccartney's Falabella is exactly the type of bag you're talking about. It's unstructured, shoulder and not a puddle of leather. I don't have those yet. Sounds comfortable to carry around instead of serious boxy top handles which I usually get.
