sometimes i try to put it btwn me and the door but im not a skinny girl so my hips take up room haha and then i tend to always carry large bags so its like if i put it there my arm has nowhere to go
and im scared of it messing up my driving :) so that doesnt work so much for me although i wish it did!

haha this is a funny one- I'm not supposed to drive due to health reasons but I have TERRIBLE car sickness if I am a passenger, so I always drive and DH rides shotgun.
I always make him hold my bag cause I dont wanna have to throw it in the back or put it on the floor. lol
He's gotten used to me just throwing it over in his lap as I get in. LOL
I rarely ever drive alone, but if I do the bag goes beside me in the passenger seat.

I put my bags in the passenger's seat if I'm alone, or in the backseat if I'm with someone. if I'm driving and my BF is on the passenger's seats, my bag will rest on his lap

I usually put them on the passenger seat if I'm driving alone, but when someone sits there it goes right down to the floor like you mention. If it doesn't fit, it'll go to the backseat.
One recommendation though, if you're gonna park and leave your purse in the car, try stuffing it under the front seat or covering it with a jacket if it doesn't fit. I've heard of too many broken windows because of a purse.

Hmmm... I usually just have it in the passenger seat or the backseat if DH is with me... but that beside the hip thing is a great idea!! I will have to try that sometime and see how it works..

Knowing me, I would forget it was there & open the door... as it falls on the ground... :push: I guess you get used to remembering it??

I would think it's dangerous to put the bag next to your foot. What if it slides, and part of it gets stuck under the brake pedal?

I put a small mesh cube in the foot area of the back seat behind the driver's seat (see picture from Container Store). I got this idea after a really bad car accident, where my bag got tossed off the back seat, and I couldn't find it to get my phone. The cube is collapsible if I have passengers in the back.

^ this is exactly what I do...!! Too funny! Normally I drive alone though and put it on the front seat....very carefully of course!!!:p

the cubes are such a good idea! i usually put it in the passenger seat or make someone in the car hold it. i'm pretty rough with my bags though so they do wind up on the floor a lot... especially if i hit the brakes.

I'm usually the only one in my car, so my purse naturally goes on the front passenger's seat.

When I have a passenger, I just put my bag between the two seats, kind of resting on top of the open center console thingy.
