Where's Your Bag in the car/when you're driving?

Either in the passenger seat, back seat middle, or if someone's with me- in their lap. I really don't like putting my bag on any floor- even the car!

This. I never put it on the floor. Any floor. I just think twice about putting it in someone's lap. I don't like other people touching my bags. Luckily it is usually just me and DS, so the bag goes on the back seat. But when it's just me, it sits comfortably in the passenger seat. If my car was full, then it would have to go on DS's lap. He knows how I feel about my bags.

BB, it is an older Hayden Harnett Bernardin Day Bag in Yam. Not sure what year it is from, maybe '07 or '08(?). I like it so much that I carry it sparingly.

It caught my eye also! it's gorgeous!!!!!

I live near a bigger city, Philadelphia, and it's been in the news since last summer that handbags were snatched from the front seat of cars. And if the window was closed, it was reported as a "smash and grab". They'd break the window and grab the bag and run. They've suggested locking the handbag in the trunk, but I like mine handy while I'm in my car. I don't know where to put it except on the floor

If it's me alone--front seat. If the front seat is taken, on the floor in the rear passenger seat. If I'm going to swim practice, it's in the back cargo area under the cargo cover.

My purse is riding in the passenger seat. If I have some one in the car with me, my purse is in the bag seat.

Because i generally dont zip my bags, I have had issues with them in the back seat. I hit the brakes and everything from in the bag is ALL over my car. Between my hip and the door is the safest spot for my bags. Plus its easy to get in and out of when i need something.

Next to me when I am alone, at the back when I have a passenger at the front, but when we are full (2 kids, sis in law and mom in law) i put my purse in between the front seats if driving an SUV or at the back of the passenger front seat atop the diaper bag when driving a car

I rented a Volvo S3 (?) a few years back and there's actually a space behind the radio/air-con console that I think can be used to store a handbag. At least I can't think of any better thing than to place a handbag there.

However, if that space is really meant to be a storage area, I think it could have been designed better as I think items placed there can still slide out from the sides.

Interestingly enough, I think I read somewhere that the car designers in Volvo are women.

^^I had read the same thing. It's truly not an unreasonable design. It's just asking car companies to update with the times. Cup holders weren't always installed and important. A woman's handbag, however, is!
