Where to Sell/Buy Gently Used Louboutins

I think Bonanza would be a good choice. I tried selling some of my CLs on Craigslist and it was a nightmare. In addition to insanely low-ball offers (I got offered $100 for a pair of NIB nude patent VPs with the rosegold toe instead of the $450 I was asking for), some folks are suspicious/scared of meeting with a someone they don't know (with good reason). One gal came to meet me in a very public food court to purchase another pair of CLs I listed with her husband, her son and three of his 6'4" friends just for protection in case I ended up being some kind of scammer or criminal, lol. It was just too much for me.

I think the buyers on Craigslist want ridiculous deals, so I wouldn't bother with that unless you really don't care about how much money you make back.

I prefer Bonanza, but eBay still gets a lot more traffic. eBay's fees are pretty high though and I get some crazy lowball offers there too. It's tough out there these days!

Wow that is crazy! After all that, did you get a sale at least?

Yeah, she bought them. It was kind of funny because she had a whole "Brute Squad" assembled to buy a pair of high heels, but it was a little too much for me and that was the last time I sold CLs on Craigslist. Not a bad experience but just very awkward, lol.

Anyone know a good place or person who buys gently used practically new louboutins and you actually get your money's worth? I'm trying out ebay myself right now but I'm not having much luck especially because I have zero feedback since I'm new to eBay.

Thank you!

We don't allow anyone to buy/sell through the forum.

Working through Craigslist, Bonanza, and eBay are your best bets at getting CLs from individuals, and during sale time all the stores have some great deals. You just have to be fast because the good stuff can be gone before you know it. There are also consignment shops. If you watch our Deals thread you will see some steals posted there.

Generally, if you are new to eBay, I suggest reaching out to the seller before bidding, let them know how you are and anything you can do to build their confidence with you. Make sure you have a PayPal account with a confirmed address and you should be fine. I've had great experiences with new buyers, but they can be risky, so some sellers are fearful to work with them.

Peruse this area of the CL sub. You are sure to find lots of info to help get you started.

ETA, just noting you are looking to sell. It's tough to get started. Try selling lower priced items to get started. Also, buy a few items to get your feedback rolling. It's hard to come out the gate asking people to drop $500 to someone without any history.

I'm having quite a dilemma! I bought nude simple pumps a few months ago and still haven't used them. To be honest I think I bought them just to buy something. I had been wanting the Louis Vuitton alma bb, but decided the 1600 for a small bag wasn't worth it. So I kind of impulsively bought these shoes, a few months later I ended up buying the bag anyways. I know these shoes are a staple item, but the thing is Im not really into shoes, I've always been a handbag girl. I feel like I would rather sell the shoes and use the money to buy something I really love.

So my dilemma is where do I sell them? I would love to get some advice from you ladies as to where you guys sell yours :)

Hello ladies ! I havne't posted in a while. I was curious to know where you ladies buy /sell your gently used Louboutins ? I usually sell on eBay but the fees are annoying and recently it's been taking longer to sell items. I have tried Bonanzle but never sell anything there. I have also tried consignment stores but they are even worse. I am moving in a few months and need to do over my closet and just want some suggestions.

Vestiaire Collective is a good site because although they take a bigger commission I feel people are prepared to pay more for a pair of Louboutins than on ebay so you can list them at higher price. I've sold a few things there and haven't had any issues but there's a thread in the general shopping section on VC issues

Great I'll def look into that. My husband is threatning the thow them out (LOL) And now since I'm going to the sample sale, I know I'll be coming home with at least 4 new pairs.
