Where is your Burberry made in?

I bought a "Burberry" hand bag, cos I liked the chocoloate brown leather, nice canvas inner lining, perfect match for an LV messenger bag i use for my laptop. I was happy with the purchase until I checked out what the inner tags were supposed to look like if it were authentic. All I found was a brown leather tag with BURBERRY LONDON embossed in front, a serial number at the back and "Made in Italy" ... as 3 things to look out for.

Mine has a brown leather tag with the equestrian knight logo imprinted on it in gold, which is the same as the metal details on the bag. I searched for the made in wherever, and couldn't find it. It was only yesterday I found it hiden in one obscure corner ... a serial number in front, and made in China at the back.

I think there is something dubious about hiding where the product is made, even if they have officially opened factories in China. As far as i am concerned ... it doesnt matter where the bag is made, so far the quality is the same, and they authenticate it ... and not try and hide that detail the way they did ...

Can someone who has a made in china burberry please describe the inner lining and tag details? ... any similar to what i described?

Okay,

I am giving the benefit of doubt that they have actually moved production to china. So far the quality is maintained, no problem.

I just need someone else with a made in china bought from authentic dealer to tell me what the inner tags look like

please

I have a quilted leather hobo in a pewter/nickel color that I bought off of the Burberry website in December. It has a small leather tab on one of the interior pockets that says Made in Italy.

Hi. I'm in Japan right now and were checking the Burberry here...the labels say that they are made in Japan (from what my mom can make out of the Chinese/Japanese characters). They weren't blue labels either and the prices were cheaper than what I see on the websites. Any thoughts?? :confused1:

i just got back from japan. Burberry blue is made in Japan, and on top of that there was another line of Burberry which is sold at a slightly higher price than burberry blue, no particular name for that line-the SA just called it Burberry made in Japan , quality wise-its a bit better than 'burberry blue' and it comes with a proper box packaging. 'burberry blue' just packs it in the paper bag only.

I once told myself, after the story about Burberry closing its factory in wales and moving to China, that i wouldn't buy it if it's made from China. I usually buy them from the store and check the label carefully. However, recently I bought 2 jackets, 1 hat, 2 umbrellas, and a T shirt from burberry's official website, the 2 umbrellas are made from China, the hat has no labeling as it is reversible, the 2 jackets are made in england, and the T shirt is from portugal. The umbrellas' quality is fair, but for the price of "designer" items, they are pretty poor. The jackets were made in england but they were packed in flimsy plastic coat bags (the bags are made in China, they look worse than the coat bags from container store, and they have the smell of cheap plastic). I am returning the umbrellas for sure, still thinking about the jackets.
I think that if Burberry products are going to be made in China then their pricing should be lowered . I'll stick to other designers from now just to be safe.

I posted a picture of the tag of the umbrella that is made in china, hopefully it's helpful to magma.

I bought two umbrellas as well, moonstone, and although I kept them, I found the same thing. There's no way that they'll hold up to Boston winds. I agree---when I buy designer I want it made at least NEAR where it's designed.

For some reason, however, a t-shire doesn't bother me as much. Because I know that I TRY to shop locally, but when I buy t-shirts it's nearly impossible. I think that the best we can do is try! But the "heads ups" are nice.

As for my big puppy carrier, it's a few years old and made in Italy. NICE!

Both my Nova Check bags are made in China, the big and the small Manor bags are made in Italy. I think they manufacture the bags with the checks in China, the others in Italy.
Btw, the chinese bags' quality is excellent!
