I bought a "Burberry" hand bag, cos I liked the chocoloate brown leather, nice canvas inner lining, perfect match for an LV messenger bag i use for my laptop. I was happy with the purchase until I checked out what the inner tags were supposed to look like if it were authentic. All I found was a brown leather tag with BURBERRY LONDON embossed in front, a serial number at the back and "Made in Italy" ... as 3 things to look out for.
Mine has a brown leather tag with the equestrian knight logo imprinted on it in gold, which is the same as the metal details on the bag. I searched for the made in wherever, and couldn't find it. It was only yesterday I found it hiden in one obscure corner ... a serial number in front, and made in China at the back.
I think there is something dubious about hiding where the product is made, even if they have officially opened factories in China. As far as i am concerned ... it doesnt matter where the bag is made, so far the quality is the same, and they authenticate it ... and not try and hide that detail the way they did ...
Can someone who has a made in china burberry please describe the inner lining and tag details? ... any similar to what i described?
