I own a beautiful denim blue nova plaid flap shoulder bag that looks fab with jeans. It has brown leather trim, burgandy red Burberry logo interior fabric and gold tone hardwear with Burberry logo and a gold tone plate inside with Burberry london embossed. It is an older purse and in the bottom of one section it has a fabric tag that says "made in Turkey" I have only seen a few others like it. The lady I bought it from swears it is real and if not it sure it gorgeous! Oh it is the classic pattern with the knights. Anyone know anything about this purse?

I have 3 Burberry bags made in Italy, one a nova check, and one a classic fabric check, also a pink shadow check. I have a vintage demim blue color knight check purse and wallet made in Turkey and a new smoked trench check from Nordstroms made in China. Other than the vintage, which has much thicker PVC, I do not see that much difference in the quality. The new bag from China was $595. It is a simple hobo style cross body. I think the more elaborate and expensive bags are made in Italy, as well as the all leather bags, but I could be wrong. I LOVE all my Burberry's.

my leather tote is made in Romania while the haymarket crossbody is made in Italy, the belts and wallet are all made in Italy, the scarf is made in Scotland.... I also hate spending too much for made-in-China stuff

I just bought an all leather elmwood crossbody bag from the Burberry outlet in NY and it is indeed made in china. I have to admit it did bother me initially knowing it was made in china and not italy as my other bags are but I got it at the outlet price and I was looking for a neutral all purpose kind of messenger. I would not pay full price for the bag if it was made in china.
