Where is your Burberry made in?

Hello, can anybody tell me why, oh why my Burberry purses were Made in China???

I bought a my Burberry Handbag at the Burberry Store Premium Outlet in 2009. I know it is authentic because I bought it at the actual Store. Never thought I actually have to check all the specifics inside my purse. So this week, I was using my purse at work and had to pull my wallet and noticed the inside of my purse says "MADE IN CHINA". The tag has a sequence of numbers at the back. OMG I got so scared to think that this is a fake one!

I got home and pulled out my smaller Burberry purse (that I received as a gift from my husband on Christmas 2010) and checked the inside; it also says MADE IN CHINA! He bought it from Neiman Marcus Store.

Can anyone tell me why are these purses not Made in Italy??? I have a Burberry wallet and it is made in Italy.

I am really worried about my handbag because I probably cannot return it since it was purchased 2 yrs ago.

I can probably still return the small check purse because it was purchased in Dec and my husband still had the receipts and Neiman Marcus gift packaging.

I just looked and mine is made in China too...doesn't make it fake though! It may not sound as 'exotic' as "Made in Italy" or whatever, but it's still the same bag I loved before I realised, so for me it's no big deal.

You'll be amazed at how many designers now have their things made in China, not doubt for a fraction of the cost - Donna karen, Temperley, Herve Leger to name just a few. Its okay I think as long as the quality and working conditions are equal to european standards. I suspect they aren't however and then it is down to each consumer to make their own choice.

Burberry bags, wallets and clothing have been made in china for a long time. As far as I know, they were never made italy. It was a british company for a time though.

Not all Burberry bags are made in China, haymarket bags aren't. But they are also more expensive.

The country doesn't say if the quality is good. Apple items are also made in China and they're very good and expensive.

I got alot of Made in China Burberry items, but also Made in Italy and Made in Scotland, and i can't complain about any of them.

I just checked and my Burberry coat (purchased autumn 2010 from the Bond street store) was made in Poland! Definitely not where I expected, but it doesn't really bother me.

It's on the upper left in mine. My wallet is made in Italy.

Which wallet do you have? Some of the grey Brit Check ones and Smoked Check ones don't have a "Made In" on it, But they're made in Italy aswell

I have a leather purse, and it was made in Italy. But one of my friends has a PVC bag that says it's made in China. From what I've noticed it seems their leather goods are not made in China.

Hi,

I'm new here - but noticed a few of you looking for where you find the "made in" tag or stamp on your burberry purse/wallet.

I have a nove check travel purse and it seems on the new purses they put a little beige tag label inside one of the card slots, sewn in. Mines to the back of the purse sewn into the outer edge of a card slot.
