Where do the major sellers on ebay get their David Yurman?

yeah i find some pictures very bland and foggy from that seller. it looks funny. i guess the best way is to pay retail. then whot about the "yurman outlet" are they display pieces from department stores? whats wrong with overtstocks, i mean yurman was never really too fast on trends they have the classic albions and stuff

LVShoeFan2......I completley agree . About two years ago, I had purchased the 20 MM white agate pendant from Ibuyluxury. The piece had just come out, and the price was better than any sort of discount I could have gotten through friends. I thought maybe the seller had bought it, and decided she just did want it anymore.

Well, it was fake. Again, as a former SA...I know what to look for.I confronted the owner on the telephone and caught her off guard. The pictures of the piece in question looked completley real. This business was based in Texas, not China.

After our conversation, I noticed she added all the "legal verbage" to her auctions. I am guessing to protect herself from any future legal problems. FYI... The company itself will not repair/refurbish pieces they know are not authentic.

I purchased a few items from ibuyluxury (Sandra) in her early days and they were all authentic. I obviously can't vouch for all her pieces, but I was satisfied with my purchases. That being said, I have noticed some of her recent auctions look strange enough for me not to bid.

I have been reading your blogs here and wanted to let you know that I bought from morganalexandraoriginals and thought that maybe the piece was a fake, so I took it in to be authenticated and was told that it was indeed authentic. The sales clerk slipped and said that Yurman is now being made in China or at least the parts are made there and then assembled in the US. She said that is why some of the looks are slightly different. Anyways I was relieved...

I am a little leery of ibuyluxury. I am not 100% convinced that their pieces are the same as what you would buy from an authorized DY retailer. I do believe the materials are real (the diamonds, gold, etc). There is just something a little off about some of their photos.

^so, they get it from David Yurman, just a question though, why is it that they are very upfront about claiming they are not authorized sellers?

They put the disclaimer on there for legal reasons and to stop complaints from Nieman's and the other big retailers that carry Yurman who want to run sales on it, which Yurman is very strict on.

Haute momma- The sales clerk slipped and said that Yurman is now being made in China or at least the parts are made there and then assembled in the US. She said that is why some of the looks are slightly different. Anyways I was relieved...

that is not cool. I am not going to spurlge any more money on Yurman now. In fact, I find it ridiculous. it's becoming like burberry.
But i still want to get the new fragrance that DY came out with :p

what, can anyone else confirm that DY is now made in China? If it is then, I'm not sure I want to spend so much money for something made in China. Sorry, don't want to offend anybody, just my own personal preference.

I wanted to let everyone know that I contacted David Yurman in regards to whether or not pieces are made in China. Here is the response I got. It is VERY evasive.

peace of mind is more valuable to me than the savings I may get from purchasing on ebay. I don't doubt that there are some honest sellers on ebay but I only buy from local jewelers who carry Yurman or Saks.
