Sigh went to causeway bay in hong king while each reseller shop has over 20 Birkin some are so while 2 of cwb Hermes just like

I wonder why do you have to establish a relationship with the SA's in order to place an order for your dream bag.
What if you are not a Hermes customer but you just want to buy a bag as a gift for your beloved ones (lets say a surprise gift), or if you want to buy a special gift for your self.
I don't get it... Not everyone is a VIP or a celebrity, or super rich but there are a lot of people out there who can buy a Birkin or a Kelly with their own money.
All customers or wanna be customers should be treated equally by any SA no matter if they are well known or not.
At the end of the day companies need our money either we are loyal customers or random customers.
Just my thoughts...

It really depends on your luck. Sometimes birkins/kellys are offered to walk-ins. If you read other postings on this forum, you will see some lucky people who get them as walk-ins too. But in general, you do need to establish a relationship with the SA. My SA told me that when they tried to reserve a birkin/kelly for their clients, their managers usually need to approve it first, by looking up in the system..are you a regular customer (buying non-birkin/kelly stuffs)? Did you already buy one within the allowed time frame....

i am hoping to do a walk in too for my switzerland trip next year.

so you would suggest hermes in basel but not geneva, zurich or even the airport? if i were to call the stores before dropping by, would they reveal the stocks?

i am looking for a birkin or kelly. it will be my first hermes bag!

I asked two different SAs last year about the waiting list in Singapore and one mentioned that the waiting list in singapore is not opened yet at the moment. Once they receive order from Paris, they will start going through the list. While my SA mentioned that the waiting list in Singapore is too long and if I wanted my name to be in the waiting list, the waiting will be too long therefore it will be better if I start to make purchases in the store. ;)

From what I experienced so far, being in the waiting list especially in Singapore will not guarantee you to get a B or K because most of these bags will go to their VVIP. I hope it helps! :)

The SAs here said that to me in 2011. When I asked when was the list last closed, they just said about 6-8 years ago.

Its so sad to know that we ordinary people the non VVIP will never be able to get a B or K from Spore Hermes :(

I'm still wondering whether it is possible to enter into a boutique and order the bag of your dreams ... two questions, 1) Can I order a bag on the color, size and leather I want? 2) what is exactly and SO (special order)? order the bag I want???
I really appreciate your help because I'm confused... i'm ready to order my first :)
