For the Coppola fans, is the Coppola a great alternative to a Speedy B if you want something more understated, more work friendly (especially in a neutral color), and are willing to have a heavier leather bag? Does it still work cross body?

The straps are very short for crossbody. It meant for shoulder carry.
For my opinion … better to bring her on the store and let her pick on her own. With that much pricey gift u don’t want to loose more $. Let her enjoy on her own choice that she will never forget and have regrets in due time ..
Since I’ve moved to smaller/mini bags, my go-to lately has been a Coach baby pillow Tabby. I’ve ordered the new LV mini bumbag and hope to make this my daily bag. When I need something bigger I use a GM Neverfull or an old Kors backpack.
