I love this thread! Gorgeous pictures too. The Birkin in the post above me has me positively drooling :faint:

My top 3 bags right now are, in no particular order:

1. Ruby red Prada saffiano lux tote with double zippers. Its punchy color always elicits a smile from me, and I can squeeze papers in there too so it's practical. I prefer black handbags but so this purse has a special place in my collection.
2. Black Celine box bag. Buttery soft glossy leather, understated appearance, can be dressed up or down and can fit a surprising amount of things.
3. Black Chanel caviar medium flap bag. Chic and classy, like the Celine bag, but with the unmistakeable quilting and double Cs.

Ask me tomorrow though, and i'll probably have new favorites...

I really love the bags from Pratesi...

Here are my 3 favorite purses from my collection in no particular order
1. Red Gucci large soho hobo. Here is the link to the picture on the site.

Even though I'm small in frame, I have a bias for big bags and I love this one. The color and the pebbled leather is tdf. I also love the fact that it has minimal hardware and is lightweight as a result. The only issue I have with it is the obnoxiously large logo in the middle, but the positives about the bag far outweigh that.
2. Givenchi large pandora in bright blue goatskin. Another large bag in pebbled leather. I love the color, the squishy leather, the fact that the bag can be worn 3 different ways, and the unusual and unique shape. It is also nice to walk down the street and not see 15 people wearing it like a speedy or a nf.

This isn't mine but this is what it looks like
3. Burberry extra large (discontinued) bridle house check hobo. I just love this as an everyday bag. Burberry may not be known for their bags but this is one of the most sturdy and well-made bags I have encountered despite the fact that it is heavi than the average bag. I feel that it can go through a monsoon, earthquake, and nuclear war, and still remain intact. Plus, house check has always been one of my favorite monograms/prints by a designer.

Great thread! I enjoyed looking through to find out if any of my favs are also favs of others. Picking out only 3 was difficult, so I had to go with 4.:p

Lanvin Quilted Happy - I'm obsessed with everything about this bag. The quilting, the clasp, the ribbon intertwined in the chain, and I love how it's not a big bag, but it somehow fits all of my stuff perfectly. I always feel so elegant and chic when I carry this bag. Sadly, it often slips off my shoulder, but I still love it.

Love Lanvin Happy too! Like you, I have the same reasons why I love this bag. I'm thinking of it and hope to see this IRL in the store. I'm just curious about your comment on the bolded part. What do you mean by often slips off your shoulder, all the times? Or it just slips ocassionally. TIA

Once you see the Happy IRL, I'm sure you will fall even more in love with it.

The strap can be worn doubled, like in my picture, or as a longer single strap. No matter which way I wear it, the strap (or straps) slides off my shoulder. Even my trick of crossing one strap over the other, which works with all of my other double strap bags, fails with this one. Sometimes it depends on what I'm wearing. The straps seem to grip my shoulder better if I have bare shoulders or am wearing a more structured jacket.

I did discover something that helped the last time I used it. The two leather shoulder pads on the chain are very stiff and straight and don't conform to the shape of my shoulder - probably why they keep sliding off. So, I took a few minutes to bend the straps and try to soften them up and make them more rounded, and it worked. The straps stayed much better. I think they just need to be broken in a little.
