What's the first handbag you ever had?

Mine was the LV monogram pochette. I had it for a year then decided to give it to my sister since it was everywhere. That was 17 years ago.... If I remember correctly it didn't cost more than $300 back then 
I'm a very 'all or nothing' kind of person. So my first bag was a jumbo Chanel classic flap. Its also the most expensive bag I have. Every other bag I buy now seems like a bargain to my husband 
My first designer bag was a Bally Circle Bag in black. It was my 3rd year in college. My boyfriend asked what I wanted for my birthday/valentines day present. I said I wanted that quilted purse with double C logo that I always see girls carry when we go parties. Little did we know those were Chanel purses and they cost a fortune for college kids. We went to the department store looking for the quilted purse and found out those were high end boutique purses. To make a long story short, we could not afford Chanel, we got a Bally. (Bally was still very expensive but substantially cheaper than Chanel) lol

My first luxury bag is a Longchamp from the Le Pliage line (not sure if you consider this luxury haha), if not then it is a Louis Vuitton Deauville 
I sure do! I'm still madly in love as well. I want to add the beige (Not sure of the exact colour's name) medium classic flap to my collection now but I need more time to work on my husband. They've gone up so much in price since then! Did you go silver or gold?

I love reading these, makes me feel so nostalgic about all those mid-aughts bags! First bag of any real value for me was a tan coach monogram hobo - with big Cs, remember those? It was the first time I ever owned a bag over $100, and my mom bough it for me... I think I was 18. First real designer bag I bought with one of my first real adult paychecks. It was the Marc Jacobs Stam bag in beige, and I remember my hand shaking as I wrote out the check at Nordstrom's! I purchased in 2003 and sold in 2014. I LOVED that bag.
