re: #4... lots of girls add a strap to their PM size... it sits super wide on the body but can be done. just look in the lv forum pics.

Wow, thanks for the info! I read the thread about having an option to buy an additional shoulder strap, which I would love to do and will look more into it. Funny how the SA never mentioned such option, he just said that there is no shoulder strap for the PM :P

Help! I am trying to figure out my wish list!
I'm mid 40's, with teenagers, 5'00 tall and I want a GOOD handbag!

I don't want to break the bank or give my husband a heart attack
I want something with structure and a bottom that will stand up on it's own in a durable leather in a color I can carry year round. Not too big, not too small. I currently carry a Coach accordion zip wallet so I want something that I could take the wallet in and out of easily.

Also, I want something that I won't see teenage girls carrying, but nothing too matronly.
Most importantly, I want something that isn't going to have that strong chemical smell and that I won't see in TJ Maxx or Marshall's or Ross in 6 months to a year.....

All input welcome, I'm new so this is my first post!

I have been looking for that same handbag and I have made many posts about it asking many questions and opinions. What is your budget, that might help us come up with some options?

Yes, we're all happy to help! Please give us some idea about

1) your budget
2) your preferred style (long shouder strap, hand carry only, etc).

The best option for you to start, I believe is to go to Boutique/Flagship stores and start looking around. Going to Department stores is going to give you a limited selection. Not sure where you live [assuming the southeast] but if you are ever in the Dallas area, they have a mall called the Galleria, and it's the perfect place to start. Not only do they have Department stores with upper end brands [I think] Nieman Marcus, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, etc. but they also have a lot of boutique stores, Dooney & Bourke, Coach, MK, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc. that will usually have a larger selection than the Dept Stores. Houston also has a Galleria, but the Dallas Galleria is much better. Or if you are in the Miami area, they have a lot of section, along with ATL. this way, you can take your time in the stores, talk to the SA's, and see bags in real life, which often times is much different than seeing them on a computer screen. Chicago also has a HUGE selection of stores, and of course NYC, Vegas, and LA.

Good luck, I hope this helps.

It depends what range of prices. Seems like you like structured bags and open totes that you can reach out for things. I would recommend the Michael Kors Hamilton series East West for work for your height...and do check out the Dillon Denim which is nice for casual look.

I've been obsessed with this Danish brand Rodtnes lately. They have SUCH gorgeous bags. I've just bought their Fold-over purse, but now I can't get their bags out of my head.
On my wishlist:
Rodtnes Falda bag in black or in grey (not quite figured it out yet)
Rodtnes Avery weekend bag in black nubuck

I'm growing more in love with my newly renovated collection every day. So there is not much on my radar...except [emoji6]

One bag I MUST have. I will buy this bag the very next time I see it in pristine condition for a great price. A Chanel black calfskin classic flap with a bijoux chain. I just bought it in ivory and will lose my mind if I don't get the black version. LOL! [emoji2]ImageUploadedByPurseForum1463120570.585559.jpg
