I was at the outet in Primm NV yesterday. Not much in the way of bags. Nothing that tempted me. I'm beginning to wonder if that store is going to make it. They used to have a lot more.

I agree. I asked one of of the SAs about it a while back and he denied there was any change but it's beginning to look undeniable. I've also gotten more selective. I went thought a phase where I wanted to buy a bag every time I went to the outlet. But it really was pretty bleak this most recent visit.

I wonder if the boutiques are receiving fewer pieces––and offering more of them at a discount during the semi-annual sales. I did notice bags discounted during this most recent sale that I don't think the company would have discounted even a couple of years ago. Maybe those bags are just selling out at the boutiques and never making it to the outlets. Of course, the U.S. outlets do receive bags from other countries, too. Has anyone noticed a difference in TOD'S shopping in countries other than the U.S.?

I'm leaving for Las Vegas in a few days and I'm going to the outlet in Primm so I'm going to call them and ask if they are participating in a similar sale. That centre is not part of the Chelsea Premium Outlets chain, so I'm not sure if all Tod's outlets participate in the same sales. Since I'm staying until the 12th, I want to make sure if I drive out to Primm, I go at the right time to take advantage of the crazy deal. I was in Palm Springs one year right around US Thanksgiving and the sales at Cabazon were ridiculous - and I mean ridiculous in a good way!
I don't know if I will buy any bags, but I'm looking forward to getting some more shoes, especially a pair or three of Dees!

Thanks V0N1B2, I will call the Orlando outlet,too,to see if they are participating. Always good to go to a super-duper sale. It's 75 miles from me....so ,like you, got to check first!!:yahoo::woohoo::love:

I went to Desert Hills / Cabazon today...nothing new or exciting...same stuff that's been there for the past couple of months. Also, as far as I could tell, the "sale" they have going on is the same sale that's always going on...:D

Visited Cabazon Tods outlet store yesterday, madness...so many shoppers. Pashmy bags up to 60% off, Tods gommini drivers $199, restyled Baulettos $1,250.00+50% off. D bags were 30% off. Happy shopping. Ask for Bryan

Visited the TOD'S outlet at Desert Hills today. Most of the inventory was the new 'made for factory' line. The line looks cheaper--the leather is not supple, the lining is plain, the stitching is not always straight, and the hardware is different. For instance, the leather g-bags have 'flat head' studs, instead of the 'round head on boutique g-bags.

^^ does it mean that they are no longer stocking lines directly from the boutique and are making "factory outlet" lines? I know it sounds like I am repeating the obvious but I just want to be sure as it sounds kinda crazy (Tod's, not you) - isn't the whole point of having an outlet to sell past season stuff that cant be sold at boutiques anymore?
