OMGOMGOMG!!! you like avatar (last airbender)? ME TOO!!!!! :lolots: i thought i was the ONLY 20 something year old who watches cartoons! and i watched EVERY single episode! is it just me, or was The Last Airbender movie a disappointment (assuming you watched it)? i believe theres a total of 63 episodes broken up into 3 books. so to make a movie, Shamalan had to cram 21 episodes into ONE 1 1/2 hour movie. not good.

$100,000? WOW!!!! I could build a fabulous cloest and collection with that!! I am terrible. When I discuss the high cost of certain things, I tend to compare it to "how many bags I could buy for that price." Does anyone else do that?
OMG, I AGREE with everything you said!! I, too, can't believe the money people put into getting married. My best friend spent way over 100,000 and she was divorced in two years. Yes, I will take a fabulous handbag over marriage any day!! Glad you liked our city!!! :p

I have to go see Black Swan!!! I love Natalie Portman and those costumes looks amazing. Is Winona Ryder in a small part? I feel like I saw that on a preview.

You can add Black Swan to my list too (it wasn't out when I wrote mine).

Winona Ryder plays a smallish role but pivotal. She is the Ballerina Assoluta as the film begins but then is 'ousted' by the 'newbie' (NP) who in turn feels the pressure of being envied by the 'next'. I won't tell you more :hnsnsn:

@admireyoo: YES! I ADORE AVATAR! I have watched Book 1 to Book 3 four times already! The movie may be visually stunning, but it sucks when it comes to storytelling and it is completely devoid of emotions! The series was very funny and witty and the movie has non of it.
@JessieRose: Yep, papertiger is right, Winona has a small but important role in the movie! GO watch it! I love the Rodarte costumes (though they were snubbed by the Academy or, in the first place, "did not deserve" costume credits, hmp!)

No, but I have friends who think what they could do with the x amount I just spent on my last handbag. Hey, to each their own.

This is true! Lmao! I agree, spend it on what you love. Bags and scarves make me really happy! I enjoy looking at bags online from places like Yoogis, Ebay, Fashionphile, Malleries, and Bonanza on a daily basis. My bf jokes and says "are you looking at bag porn again?" Ummm....YEAH! It is great! I would like to save up and travel more too. Traveling, fine dining and building my collection, that is what I enjoy spending money on.

Oh, I did!! It was so beautiful! San Fran had such a nice energy and everyone seemed so happy and friendly! The shopping and food was amazing!! I am a vegetarian and managed to find some amazing restaurants! I was talking about moving to California, I am so tired of this Chicago weather, but everyone keeps advising me against it (with the CA economy being so bad) but Illinois isn't much better!

I agree with that too. I got carded for lottery tickets not to long ago, it's annoying and flattering all at the same time.

Lmao!! I agree! I am like "Wow, thank you." So I am flattered at first. Then I am like "Ugh...now I have to dig for my drivers license, which makes me look like I am a serial killer...er." It was a REALLY bad day to take a pic! I wasn't smiling, I was so pale (need more sun/Vitamin D) and my hair (naturally curly, really tight curls but when wind hits it, watch out!) was crazy! Lmao. I need to go retake that picture..hm..

Yes! I haven't seen her in anything in a while! I just watched Beetlejuice! Ah, I can't believe that movie is THAT old! Wow!

^I think the last movie I saw her in was Reality Bites. I still need to watch Black Swan - I love anything with Ballet.

I visited Chicago the first time last summer and it's really fun city. The people are nice - I lost my Gucci sunnies at the Nordstrom mall area (I didn't realize it until the next day) and someone actually returned them at the customer service. I was just surprised - I live in a pretty small town where a lot of people know each other and if you misplace something, 99.9% chance someone's taking it for themselves even if they're your neighbour.

I know what you mean about the weather problem - I would love to move somewhere warm - I like the 4 seasons but seeing all the snow and slush just grosses me out. The older I'm getting, the more I want to live in Hawaii!!! lol
